For the first time in days—no wind when I woke. 🙌 Just snow… and a fresh blanket covering everything and coming down softly. I plugged in my watch and somehow fell back asleep until 8:30… still snowing.
Happy Birthday to 2 sweet girls, Brittany and Aislyn!! XOXO
Coffee in bed to start, then I hopped in the shower before round two. S had his second cup and headed out to toss a bale to the horses and break open the frozen water trough. I got Thursday’s blog posted.
She headed off for a relaxed afternoon before her birthday night out in Calgary with friends. Cooper stayed behind for a sleepover.
Soup for lunch, then S hit the couch for a nap while I started yet another puzzle. The sun teased on and off, but of course… the wind crept back in around 3. Snow mostly melted again, and you can actually see the grass turning greener by the day.
I started today’s post at the island while S worked through the last stretch of his 1000-piece. I cannot work in the garage to prep for the upcoming market as it is very brisk in there seeing S shut off the heat awhile back.
Supper was his favourite—creamed chicken with roasted veggies. Perfect comfort food for a still-chilly day.
Then… the moment. I was changing dog bedding when I spotted an Amazon box blowing past the east evergreens. 😳 Checked my email—yep, delivered at 1:20 to the yard gate. No idea how we missed it. The thing was light and literally blowing away in the wind and snow. Rescue mission successful.
Evening = hockey for S (of course), I did a weight workout then S joined me for a movie. We landed on Apex… and honestly? Kind of disturbing. Not one I’d rush to recommend.
Best part of the night: finishing the last of my birthday cheesecake—shared with S. I’d also shared some earlier for B to celebrate her birthday too. 🎂
We followed it up with part of Million Dollar Secret. episode I was done by 10:30—these early mornings catch up fast.
A little snow, a little sun, a lot of puzzles… and one very close call with a runaway package.

I talked with Britt this morning. Said she slept in (well deserved as tired from work). She corrected me, too many refreshments last night! Said she had a great day!
