Errands, Oops Moments & a Windy Warm-Up

Sunny and +8 to start—but windy, most of the snow is now gone.

After coffee, it was straight into catch-up mode. I uploaded photos and videos for the Vegas “home day” and Renn’s home day—slowly getting back on track. S tackled the overflowing beverage cans, bundled them up, and headed out to the shop.

A call with Mom K included a plant chat… which is when I realized I’d left my pots outside. 😬 Thankfully, it only dipped to +4 overnight, so no damage done.

Bathrooms were next on my list—full clean—then some marketing and a Hometalk post for the cutting board. Lunch was a bowl of soup for me, and S joined around 1 with his own bowl plus a sandwich.

More cleaning, then I headed to town.

First stop: dropping off five pairs of glasses at the donation box at the eye doctor. Then the post office, where I ran into an old friend—ended up standing outside visiting in the 21-degree sun. Definitely overdressed in a polar fleece hoodie. 😄

Next, I grabbed a library book and headed to pick up Cooper… only to realize (sitting right outside B’s house) that my key was —in Shaina's Jeep—at Moore’s. So… no Cooper. Sorry.

Car wash was next—packed, of course. Everyone had the same idea. After that, I dropped off a box at the thrift store and headed home.

By then, it was warm enough to justify a cold drink, chips, and dip while I edited photos. Got Chuck’s birthday post finished and published—another one checked off.

The day climbed to 22 (still windy), and I took Harley out for a walk convincing the horses to come back out to the hay pasture as we walked before bringing in my planters and feeding her supper.

S spent the afternoon in the shop working on the tractor, then I heard the ranger fire up—and a few shots—gopher patrol in full effect. He was back in after that, settling in for a playoff hockey night.

B came out to feed, and I joined her—gave Harley a good brush while B trimmed her nails for a little spa moment. She and Cooper did a loop closing gates to block off a few paddocks, then headed home.

Back inside, I wound down with a couple episodes of Imperfect Women and Your Friends & Neighbors.

A productive, slightly chaotic, very spring-like day.
