A bright sun but a crisp -5° start to the day. S had the TV fired up right after our 8 a.m. wake-up, fully preparing for the big hockey matchup while I made the coffees. The Olympics have completely taken over around here — background noise, foreground noise… just noise.
I made our coffees and joined him for the Canadian 10–2 win. My back continues to improve — thank goodness — though I’m also thankful there are no small square bales left to toss for now.
After the game I published Friday’s blog (more photos and videos added) and settled into puzzle time. Around noon S rolled out a bale for the horses. Even at only plus 4, the sunshine made it feel warmer than it was, so I joined him for a short walk to the east fence and back. Fresh air therapy.
Back inside he had a nap while I gave Harley some ribs and returned to my puzzle progress.
B came out late afternoon and ran the paddock blade around — it looked fantastic afterward, so clean and tidy. She fed the horses and zipped back to town. Meanwhile I kept puzzling while S watched more sports, though I did take a break to toss a bison roast into the Instant Pot.
I was peeling potatoes when Shaina and Matt arrived after 5:30. Poor Shaina had a migraine, so after an Aleve she curled up on the couch for a nap while we visited. B arrived shortly after 6, and once supper was done we played a round of Spite and Malice.
B and Cooper then headed home, S returned to his Olympic viewing post, and Matt, Shaina, and I visited in the living room — both of them hooked up to their TENS machines like a little recovery lounge.
They eventually turned in, and I joined S in bed where we watched a Peaky Blinders episode before calling it a day.
Sunshine, hockey victories, a cozy supper, and a full house — not a bad way to spend a winter Sunday.

B did a super job. She and Travis like to keep things tidy! A migraine is no fun. Cards are! My TENS is not making any change ;-(
