After our usual morning start, I headed outside to toss a bale and do another poop scoop loop around the lawn. The snow is nearly gone, though the ice lingers. I then moved on to—butchering, I mean—pruning my big rose bushes, because the internet said now is the time. While clipping away, I spotted the first bee of the year, followed by a couple more buzzing around. S was busy in the shop, cutting part of one of his horn sets and finishing up the last of the septic pump installation.

Lunch was a simple affair: S fried up the leftover noodles with a pile of extras, while I opted for a piece of buttered bread. Good news: the new microwave I ordered was scheduled to arrive later today—finally, yay!
B and Cooper arrived at 1 to do more sewing. She had bought material to make dog bandanas for a friend’s pups, and I created a pattern from the one the friend already had. She cut and sewed the first bandana up then tried them on the pups. Looks great so on to the second color combination one.
Back in to our sewing, B worked on a third one with dinosaurs while I whipped up one she cut 2 of the same color combinations of then a little fun custom creation from the leftover fabric scraps.
The microwave arrived at 4:30. S drove down to pick it up and began installing it in the existing space. I popped a pizza in the oven, and B stayed to join us. She and Cooper headed home at 6:30, just as S settled in front of the big sport TV for hockey, Flames starting at 8. I wrote today’s blog in bed, cozy under a blanket, while catching a few more episodes of Bad Influencers. Occasional hoots, hollers, ice cream & snacks runs, drifted from the sports TV room. S was up and confirmed their win then back to sports highlights as I was my book for the rest of the evening.
