Honestly, I woke up at 4 am once again and lay there, compiling mental lists until Harley wanted out after 5 am. This has to change, but I’m not sure how. I woke up at 8 am after eventually falling back asleep to a dreary -8 degrees. After browsing Instagram for a while, I got up, fed the cats, and made coffees. S’s was delivered to him in bed before I fed Har and got to marketing. He called to get his Dad’s overnight report, which was good. We also chatted with Mom K. Shaina was up and ready to head out to Medicine Hat. I had planned to go along, but this cough and nose-blowing persist, and I wouldn’t want to give whatever we have to anyone there. So, I declined. She left at 9:45 am with a stop in town to change her oil first.
While the videos of the trucker loaded on yesterday’s blog, I photographed the staged the trunk. S was updating his bison list and prepping tax info. I checked in with Boysis house, and K & N are still feeling unwell, but Renn is finally feeling better. YAY!! She was off to school—fingers crossed she now has more immunity.
S got the humidifier running. In the past, it caused the furnace room floods after clogging with crud. I then tidied up the furnace room after all the Christmas chaos. Before noon, S had a bowl of soup and headed out to roll out a partial bale of hay. He gave Harley a bison leg, which she was thrilled about. The temperature has risen to plus 1 now. I had a bowl of soup and caught some of the depressing news before returning to the computer to create a before-and-after photo for the trunk.
S left for hockey at 1 p.m. while I was working on the trunk tutorial. Spanish lessons were next, followed by putting the names on the twins’ rulers. Harley kept going in and out throughout the afternoon, chewing on the bison leg and then resting and warming up. As I was loading videos into tutorials, I found one that I had forgotten to load. It showed Sheldon cleaning up rum. Be sure to check it out at the bottom of this blog post.
Light snowflurries began before 4 p.m. and intensified by 5 p.m. when S returned home from hockey, had coffee, and grabbed a few groceries. I was preparing the next HF meal - salmon with gremolata butter for supper. As we were eating, the snow stopped around 6 p.m. This meal was incredibly delicious.
I began a new Morning Show while S was engrossed in watching hockey. However, he abandoned it when he realized that the Flames game was not being aired. He decided to come in and watch a movie instead. We watched Argylle - a fun spy movie. B was out to feed as per usual and in to check on any updates as poky Bird ate. After the movie was over we watched a few Shrinking with Shaina arriving safely back from her trip to the Hat at 10. She gave us an update of the day. Papa spent most of the day sleeping, he did say a few words and squeezed her hand before going back to sleep but it did give her and Grama time to visit while he napped. He had an EKG mid afternoon with no results yet.
