Off in different directions

The wind howled all night long, hovering around -10 degrees Celsius with a wind chill factor. We woke up after 5:30 AM, and S finally decided to make the trip. The wind gusts come and go now, but to be cautious, he unhooked Jerry’s trailer and left it behind until another time. There was no need to risk hitting the ditch with it, as it might blow around. S had a bite to eat and prepared a coffee for the day. At 6:15 AM, S pulled out, but guess what? Harley then decided she wanted to go too!

Finally, I fell back asleep after 7, only to wake up an hour later because I had to leave by 9:30. I fed the pets, took them out for a bathroom break, drank my coffee while getting ready, and gathered everything I needed to take to the city. I left a little late at 9:35. However, after the first stretch of terrible roads, things were smooth sailing, and I arrived at the doctor’s office in less than 45 minutes. Being early didn’t pay off, though, as I wasn’t seen until 11, and the entire appointment took only 6 minutes.

I then headed to Boysis’ "house of coughs". Renn was home from school again today being on medicine and they're hoping to get her back to health with a few days off. Nathan got busy scrubbing bathrooms because he finally felt some energy today. Kaylin and I had leftover pasta and visited before I tried to put Renn down for her nap before 1. Eventually, Kaylin came in and soothed her with mucky, and she was off to sleep.

Dr Renn says cheese, could she be any cuter?

K and I headed to the mall, where I found four dresses to try on for the wedding. I believe navy will be my preferred color from the options I tried, but I’ll keep an eye out for other spring-inspired dresses as they start arriving. The photos really do not look flattering but they did all feel comfy.

also I did not wear proper attire for the best dress success trying, next time maybe.

Renn, who had been asleep for almost an hour, was awake when we returned. Nathan, who had been resting while she napped, was also awake. I hope both of them had a good rest and started to feel better.

Aweee <3

She loves playing ball with Beans although it does not go that far both are entertained.

Nana brought new jammies - cookie and ice cream themed

We had a half-decaf Nespresso and were entertained by little Miss and the dogs. Today is swimming lessons for Renny so I packed up and headed to Costco at 4. Unlike last weekend, when the return line was like a Disney ride line, there was only one person ahead of me today. The actual store was also quieter, which was a relief.

I spent an hour shopping and then made my way home. The snow had returned, so I grabbed a decaf tea at Tim Hortons to soothe my throat and enjoy as I drove home. The snow stopped when I turned off #1, and the roads were better.

Back home at 6:30, I unloaded everything. Harley hadn’t finished her breakfast and didn’t want supper, ok. I ate some rotisserie chicken I had grabbed at Costco and finished my tea. Then, I loaded the photos and put up yesterday’s blog. As I was packaging up the beef broth for Harley, B went out to feed her horses. After Harley finally ate her supper, B and Coop headed home.

I headed to bed at 8:30, looking forward to a peaceful night’s sleep. I watched some Dubai Bling, took my last antibiotic, and was about to turn off the TV when S texted to say he was on his way home. I thought he was staying at the Hat after looping that way to visit his parents. Of course, Harley started barking when he got home at 11:45. Then, through the 30 minutes it took to unload the truck and take it to the shop with meat in the back, J went out and came back, howling at the door because it was freezing and now crazy windy outside. So, I put him back in the garage, only to have him cry and want Harley out there. Time for a sleeping pill.
