It appears that we are gradually improving, albeit at a slow pace. After we finally fell asleep with the podcast, I did have a few brief wakeups in the night. However, Har wanted to get out at 5:30 AM. I’m am puzzled by her recent change in sleep patterns. For two consecutive days, we woke with clear breathing noses. Naturally, once we get up and move around, our sinuses start to drain a bit but clear now, and the coughs continues. Nathan had shared information about this virus that suggests the cough can persist for 3 to 6 weeks!
I made us coffees - S had two today, haha! Then, I fed Harley breakfast with some of the hot broth that was simmering. S sorted out his bison plans while chatting with his Dad and Uncle Jerry, who is helping the cause in exchange for S hauling his trailer out. I then moved on to marketing and started writing a tutorial for the brown stained storage table. S went to get the mail, and then he hooked up Jerry’s trailer to take it away tomorrow. The winds picked up quite fiercely, but the temperature was still a pleasant +5 degrees Celsius.
The sick Boysis household had Renn wake up with a fever of 39 degrees Celsius. They took her to walk in at 10 a.m. and discovered that she indeed has a virus, as well as an ear infection. Additionally, she is also developing more teeth. This poor little nugget is having a difficult month. I sincerely hope that this house can recover soon, and everyone can regain their health.
Lunch consisted of leftover pork. S loaded his coolers, along with Mom’s, with the iced coffee K-cups I ordered but could not return. I packed up Mom and Papa K’s gifts and a snack bag for him to take as he might head home that way. He chatted with Jarrod, making plans for the bison cull, before heading to town for a game of shinny. I bundled up and braved the strong winds to fetch a horse sheet that was for sale and scooped up dog poop. It’s unpleasant to see a month’s worth of poop, but the dropping temperatures (now +1), and the frozen ice everywhere made the task extremely difficult. After completing half a dozen piles, I decided to give up. I returned to the house when S texted me to go secure one of the yard lights that had broken in the wind. I bundled up again and went out. I also gave Harley a deer rib section, as it was the last good day to be outside.
I then got back to working on tutorials with an iced coffee, looks like I had 2 today as well. I also wrote a Hometalk post for the half moon table. As I worked snow started to come down around 3:30. The fellow stopped to buy the horse blanket. The snow let up about 4:30 and temperatures had dropped to 0 when S got home at 5.
We had yet more leftover pork for supper then s went for a hot tub and I did many Spanish lessons. Back inside it was hockey for S while I was back at writing a tutorial for the custom coffee table done before Christmas. B was out at 7:30 to feed, luckily the snow let up but the wind continued. It even picked up to hurricane force after she left. Mom called to say it was awful in Oyen and was worried about S traveling in the am. The current weather had him concerned as well as now -3 and dropping. He will decide in am. I started my library book finally till the hockey game ended, We then watched more Shrinking, Loot and Ransom episodes before lights out.
