Snow is back

I awoke to snow covered ground, seems the rain froze thru the night. I made my cappuccinos and got marketing letting the prince sleep till 9 or so. He heads north today. I wrote a tutorial for the red chair and got it shared. After some coffees B was motivated to pack his suitcase seeing when he gets home next Monday we leave the next morning ;) He also went out and gave Pepper & Daisy their pills and apples to the others after Pepper sauntered under the yard gate to eat lawn grass.

I got a copy of the radiologist report, my lower issue is " Lumbosacral transitional vertebrae (LSTV) are congenital spinal anomalies, in which an elongated transverse process of the last lumbar vertebra fuses with varying degree to the “first” sacral segment"



I put soup on for my weekly sustenance and we had the last of the chicken for sandwiches at lunch. After S had his big brown time including pretravel nap. He was awake and on his way at the usual 2 pm. My back is not feeling really good so it was a day to spending moving about searching for accommodations and marketing. 

Around 4:30 I saw Pepper back in the yard so headed out an put him in the paddock. Back inside I enjoyed my yummy soup then back to computer work only to find him back in again at 6:30. I once again put him out and then grabbed rope from the shop and put another across the gate. I sure wish the charger was still on the fence for the Christmas lights, it seems he needs a zap!

Back inside I finished up computer work then off to soak in the tub and watch more Wentworth followed by Queer Eye in bed.

Time falls back an hour

I was awake of course many times in the night but wide awake at 7 am new time (we lost an hour overnight). I got up and did marketing and made coffee for the prince but he was having a sleep in Sunday. He did not come out till just before 11 new time! The morning was still dreary and rain even started again mid morning.

We started a fire while S read the Sun and I searched for hotels for our trip.

B and Cooper arrived around 12:30 for a brief play for Cooper. B put tires up in the mez and chilled for a bit then they were back to town around 2. We were going to trim 2 more horses but that is not happening as my back feels worse today.

S made us scrambled eggs, beans and toast for lunch then he headed out to push poop. He did try and get another load at Stout’s but no luck as their 2 wheel drive tractor just spun in the wet grass. He was back to catch football in the TV room before 3. He packed up this snack tray for his sports viewing. Just a little snack before supper.

I worked on the blog and tutorials in front of the fire with frequent walks and dancing to stretch my back. That is when it hurts less which seems weird right? S was up for supper then back to the sports room. I eventually moved to the bed to catch a few Handmaids Tale. I am not liking the darker earlier time change ;(

B house tour

Company was rady for coffee at 9, S had it all ready to go so simple as pressing a button. He also cooked up some eggs and toast for the guests too, well done prince. We were loaded up and off to Britt's after 10 for her house tour and more coffee. It was a very nice day out to see the new hacienda and continue our visit. They loaded up and were off to Medicine Hat about 11:30.

B and I got busy hemming her main floor curtains while S finished watching the Oilers hockey game. We got them done and on our way home at 1:30 swinging thru Tim's for a tea, grabbing more coffee "creamer" & beer and filling with fuel.

Back at the ranch S jumped in the skid steer to push poop before heading to get more loads. I caught up on some marketing and posting the latest coffee table for sale on sites. Britt and Cooper arrived around 3:30, she pretty much went to sleep in big brown right away. However once S was back from his poop play around 4:45 I rousted her and we headed out on the quad to the horses. She rode Daisy and led Bird back and we trimmed them. Yes my back required some unique trimming but thank goodness our horses are really quiet for sure. And Britt is a big help for the polishing parts.

S had swapped her tires too while we trimmed and then was back to his poop loads. She and I finished trimming around 6:30. She fed bird and cleaned up the barn while I gave pep his pill and headed to the house for a cold drink. B had Cooper loaded up and off for home around 7 to watch all Dave's big $$ super races tonight. S was back and watching hockey fitting in left overs for supper after one game had an 11 shoot out finale then back to the TV room for even more games.

After catching up on a few computer tasks I hit the tub to soak before crawling into bed. It started to rain and by the time S came up from TV room for bed around 10 it was coming down really good and was still going when I turned off Netflix around midnight. I started the new seasons of Queer Eye in Japan and Wentworth.

Family supper

Up early again I came out and got marketing going and got the jewelry box all wrapped up and boxed to ship off today. I popped the trash can deodorizers out but they did not end up really pretty looking LOL

I was off to town after 1 stopping at Walmart to see if Halloween candy was on 1/2 price as those small Oh Henry bars are my favorite but no luck. I then jetted to Britt's to let Cooper out quick then drop the parcels at the post office and get to my chiropractor appointment. Dr Heather explained the x-rays and that the x-ray doctor diagnosed me with osteoarthritis AKA degenerative disc disease along with an abnormality in my L6/7? joints. I shall try and get the actual report ;)

Kaylin and Shaina were here when I got back to the ranch having arrived around 2 to get Kaylin's tires changed. They had brought us a chai tea too, THANKS! We visited with Sheldon joining us after he finished. I made bean dip for an appetizer to go along with the chicken supper I had in the oven. Grama, Papa and Candace arrived around 4:30.

The evening of visiting began with a yummy (if I must say so myself) supper after the appetizer and beers. Britt caught the tail end of supper arriving after 7 grabbing Cooper on her way home from work. S even started a fire in the fireplace. The city girls were headed home around 8:30. Britt and Cooper were off around 11 and the rest went to bed after midnight.
