I let H out after 6 then put her in the garage managing to fall asleep till 7:30. I checked Instagram then gave her an early breakfast and turned the coffee pot on. I was ordering her food for delivery this week when S got up and joined me for coffee. We were off to town for a 10 am rental showing arriving early and she was late LOL. It was one we had seen 4 years ago and liked. It still looks lovely and may be a contender.
Next we went to Walmart; I needed more milk and a bigger glass jar. S went and did a drive thru deposit then a quick check at the $ store. They have cheaper beverage containers but I wonder if they are "cheaper". I am told the kombucha carbonates and causes bottle breakage.
Then we were off to Britt's. I let Cooper out and grabbed my ferment goodies. A loop around to Hillview had me running in to pick up a prescription for Britt from our doctor and double check my lab req was sent for tomorrows appointment. Now to head south grabbing an iced coffee as we did so. We stopped at the old mail box that was getting a complete change out then off to see our new one south of us only to find nothing in it. Oh well.
Back to the ranch at noon it was rest and the news for the prince while I prepped all my new fermenting goodies. The milk kefir was the easiest. This jar will be dedicated to Harley to start again. The kombucha was a bit more work steeping sweet tea, adding cool water then the scoby and fermented liquid. This will now sit for a week. The water kefir was last but not least. I think it will be easy but I read a complicated website and ended up adding a bit of lime and a bit of prune which seems like overkill. :)
S headed to the airport after 2:30, I sorted photos on my computer. Shaina took a break and she and I walked Harley at 4 but it has a bitter wind at plus 8. It was a fast loop around the west side and back. She was back to work and I accounting. Lasagna leftovers for me for supper after feeding H. Again having cheese in it deterred the dairy free girl.
