Horse Ride, Sunshine & A Finished Jewelry Box

Thursday arrived with a surprise day off switch for Britt thanks to slow pitch season. I was awake by 6:45 — not by choice though — but the full-on sunshine made it feel worth it. Two coffees, an Instagram scroll, and my birthday lunch blog post later, I headed to the garage to tackle the final details on the jewelry box project: waxing the paint and touching up the gold feet.

Britt was out just as I wrapped up, so we caught the horses, tacked up, and headed off for an hour ride. Such a beautiful morning for it. It really made me wish Shaina was home now that riding season is underway again — maybe we can lure her out for a visit soon.

Meanwhile S headed to town for his Thursday hockey-and-McDonald’s coffee crew gathering. Good news from the specialist too — the knee is structurally fine and just needs strengthening, exactly what Shaina has been telling him for months ;)

After the ride we untacked, brushed down the horses, and let them loose while Britt fed. She soaked up a little breezy sunshine while they ate before she headed home around 1.

Back inside, I got serious about finishing the jewelry box. By afternoon it was officially DONE. Photos were snapped, then I headed inside to play with my new favourite AI staging tool, creating the moody styled photos the company wanted. Honestly, I like how they turned out and the ease of creating.

S rolled home before 4:30 but was quickly jumped in the ranger heading to the Gosling emporium to help with an electrical issue. I worked on blog catch-up, squeezed in a workout, chugged a creatine water, fed Harley, then started writing the jewelry box tutorial while feeling very accomplished.

S got home just before 6 — perfect timing for hockey, naturally. We kept supper simple with spaghetti followed by a hot tub soak. Then it was hockey for him while I curled up to finish my book The One. Definitely recommend it — such a wild concept.

  1. AI looks much easier than moving furniture, adding lighting and deco! Nicely done
