Harley had a busy night, she went out just before 1 am then again at 6 am and both times did her business. At 8 she headed out to eat breakfast and little did I know until a bit later left a big pile in the garage. HMMM why such an output all of a sudden? I was working on morning marketing when S joined us for coffee at the island today. Lexi got her eye meds and the tug of war was on for a bit.
S went out to plug in skid steer and move truck out of the way then rolled the horses a bale a bit later. On to pushing snow around the yard stopping for a lunch and news break then back out to play in the snow. The temperature was -20 all night and this am but was warming hitting -10 at noon. I mixed up a double batch of banana bread using just a skiff of coconut flour. As they baked H and I headed out to walk to pit area and take off Bird's blanket as requested by B.
S was off to town to show the rental house after 2 and run a a few more errands. I worked on rocky Mountain polocrosse stuff. As a society still we have to submit forms and financial statements.
Shaina loaded up her wares for the week along with an Instapot I picked up for Kaylin and Lexi and was off west around 3:30. She will drop Lexi, a banana bread care pack with heart cookie to the Covid patient who is starting to get her energy back and 20% of her taste and smell on way to Banff. Temps were now -8.
As I was working on accounting and other boring computer tasks the sky seemed to get greyer and around 4:30 the snow started to come down. It lasted about half hour then let up then a wee bit later on. S was back with groceries at 5, I prepped veggies for our shrimp tacos while he took apart the garage outdoor man door that would not open when I went to let H in to feed her supper. We enjoyed the shrimp tacos immensely. I was washing up the dishes when B and Coop arrived after 6. H was stoked to get out and play again. Only thing left was coleslaw which B chowed down before heading home after 7.
S watched a bit of basketball then off to bed and asleep by 8. I jumped in the shower and watched a few episodes of Sneaky Pete before shutting lights off earlier tonight. The snow was really coming down when I let Harley out for her last potty break around 9.
