Sheldon was working on grading the road when I got back after. We had a coffee and he went back to it as Sharon arrived to join me for a coffee, catch up and drop off 4-H books I am to mark. Prince ran the trash to town but was back for lunch Shaina was making for us after she arrived after 12. Thanks Dude for those grilled cheese and soup. Sharon headed home as lunch was ready. Shaina gave us a quick update of her BC adventure then got ready and headed to her 2 pm shift.
my shadow finds the best places to curl up while I check my marketing
Sheldon started oil changes doing the lawn mower first while I started painting the bench he made me. Things were going good till I set the dish of black milk paint on the edge of the table only to find it was not under the newspaper! thanks goodness for a long inside hose and these awesome floor drains, I had it off the floor and my legs in no time
While the first two coats dried he and I had a cold beer before he was back to start the skid steer and me to putting the white coat on the bench. The wind really picked up and apples were being blown off the tree so I brought in another shirt full. It did hit 28 so warm drying harvest wind but here it is a hay and grass burner ;(
I got a message my paint parcel was delivered to the gate so my side kick and I toured down on the quad to retrieve it.
Time to start supper which I had ready late for Britt to get home and the oil guy but he needed a wrench so was off to town at 7:30. I went ahead and ate alone at 8 but eventually Britt came up and he was back home to enjoy it. After eating he headed back out to finish when a terrible wind storm blew thru, yuck! Shaina was home from work to eat at 9:30 with Kaylin getting home at 10:30. They dyed K's hair amidst giggles.
