heritage days begin & Lexi turns 5

The usual start to our day with B heading off to the track and coffee in bed. Sheldon did jet to town after 9 for a rodeo meeting at 10 leaving me to wood fill the dresser and glue and clamp a big crack on the leg.

I actually gave Lexi a birthday bath before he left then washed both their beds again and vacuumed up her ever shedding hair ;) Happy dog bone day Lexi!!

Back around 11:30 for a quick bit and we were headed back to town to take in the rodeo which had perfect weather about 21 not to hot or cold. Id did start to sprinkle for a short bit at 4 as it ended. Grady and a few other of the panel boys met us to do pre set up but the plan evolved. Eventually the arena was watered and harrowed and we could set  up for the running with the bulls. As always it was great entertainment to watch people think they are brave but really are not.

A quick take down and it was then social time on the grounds with beverages, food, watching a couple chuck runs and hanging out at a campfire at the running of the bulls sponsor till midnight then home.

Britt and Shaina went to the cab after their respective work shifts with Shaina getting them safely home at 2.
