Sheldon made his usual round of coffee to get us motivated. I was back detailing more on the dresser drawer fronts while he started hand picking the dam fox tail growing in the new hay field. UGH! Being a grass it was not killed in the multiple rounds of weed killer he has had doused on the field.
top 3 have dark wax added, bottom two not, hard to see right? below is closer, I love the aged detail it gives
I found my jars post was featured on the Hometalk weekly newsletter and just a couple hours later it had 30,000 views, what!
A good customer dropped off 2 old press back chairs to have refinished for her new homes veranda. I got busy sanding them outside then scrubbing them down ready to paint. Time to get out in the consistent 27 sunshine to water planters and the garden, pick weeds, poop pick up and dead head and treat the horses to some dandelions and apples. Today is hot but there is a breeze that sure helps it seem easier to work outside in.
love our new little cordless drill, thanks Grama & Papa, finally used the gift certificate, just zips screws out in no time
We both stopped before 2 for a late lunch. Prince hit the couch for a couple hour nap while I got busy spraying the metal hanging basket then moving on to painting the chairs. He headed back out around 4:30 to pick another bag, 5 garbage bags in total today full of fox tail. I whipped us a frosty strawberry dacquari about 6 after I finished both chairs. Time to make a macaroni salad to go with burgers for supper.
After Britt got home from work and changed, she and I went out to ride. She hauled along the chubby ginger too. The Aussie fellow they will be playing with next w/e is coming in the am to ride Switch and have a wee practice. Sheldon came in for another rest while we rode then cooked the burgers as we showered up. Once her food was down, B was off to town to go with girl friends to the Annabelle:Creation movie after 9, yet another late supper supper. Kaylin stayed in the city after work riding her bike and hanging out with friends on this Saturday night. By the end of day the painted jar feature had hit 77,000 viewers! B got home at 2 just a bit scared after that movie ;)
