Parking should have been a good indication as to the busyness but the 6" of snow they got overnight did not help the parking lot either. We cruised around for about 10 minutes avoiding the gaggles of people and after only having a bag of coffee beans loaded, Britt and I decided to cut our losses and skip the crowd and 10 deep line ups at all tills. I made a quick stop at Superstore where it to was sheer chaos of terrible organizing for Christmas treats so in the end I did not find my Angie's seasonal popcorn ;( They have sugar cookie this year too, WHAT!! but chocolate/sea salt or white chocolate and peppermint are so yum! Britt who had read the whole way in chose to stay in the truck and read, smart choice B!
She wanted to find an ugly Christmas sweater in her budget so we headed to a thrift store, again bad idea as the traffic on the one road getting there was slower then turtles and a normal 5 minute drive turned into 20. She did however find a project sweater so we loaded up yet again and headed to meet the "furniture" dealer. I did score another kids table and chair which was the main reason, 2 night stands which are popular, a cool old coffee table and old chair, I passed on the 80's pine dresser which had seen better days!
isn't this adorable.. so small
LOVE this antique table
well at least they match and are made by Palliser, gonna be work
With one last planned stop at the Mustard Seed, we decided to skip checking out Big Rock Brewery for a late lunch and just get home. Good thing as we got safely home, short detour thru Tim's in Langdon, at 3 just in time for Britt to regroup and head to town for her massage at 3:30. I unloaded the furniture and vowed no more of the big city till the dead of January for this girl!
Britt returned with supper from Edo, yummy. A fellow drove out from Calgary to purchase this chalkboard beauty for his girlfriend, how sweet!
All day Britt and I said it was chilly.. the lowest we saw was -8 but seems we have been spoiled so far lol
