605 - last day of work!!

Day 605 was the last day of work for both Sheldon and myself for Christmas vacation, yahoo!! My work day was very busy as engineers were sending files to the field to prepare fore the new year. Our work doors closed at noon til January 2!.

I was finally done just before 1, Martin took me, Sharon and Coreena out for lunch to celebrate. Kaylin and Shaina just happened to be at the Station to having lunch so we had a quick visit with them too. Unfortunately the interview guy did not call her today but we all have fingers crossed he will soon. It is for a new restaurant not yet opened close to her apartment. After lunch I ran more errands to pick up more food and gifts and decorations.

By now it was after 3, Sheldon was done work early too but he stayed to load up tables and folding chairs for the holiday meals, spools and some pallets in hopes of getting my coffee table finally.

Kaylin and Shaina were back home now too both getting ready to work in town at their respective jobs at 4. Britt started her 4 day run of work after school too. I spent the next little while hiding, wrapping and sorting gifts :-) Sheldon hauled out a bale for the ponies just before supper.

At 8, Sheldon went to town a bit early to wash his truck, pick up more booze for the vacation and gifts and buy his Xmas present from Mom and Dad before picking up Britt at 9. He has been searching for a tall ladder for ages and on second review of his favorite flyer; Canadian Tire, he saw his dream ladder (a 17' Mastercraft telescoping) and on sale to boot. He sends a huge THANK YOU Mom and Dad.

Shaina was off to wing night after her shift then getting a ride home from Shannon who stayed overnight too. Kaylin picked Lexi up at just before 3am after her shift and they headed back to the city. Only one more shift that requires the long drive out and late night driving.
