Vacation prep & flight

Wednesday is a productive day before our vacation departure. Plants were watered, bale rolled out, food cleaned up, sheets changed, etc. We went to town before 1, S dropped me off to get my nails done while he sourced some gifts. Once he picked me up, we headed to Paetz’s to pick up cutest pairs of booties I had Amanda create for the Stout girls' new babies.

Kaylin went for a massage before work while Renn had a little buddy over to play.

Renn is also gifted in the musical world too

Nathan took Renn to visit Mama at work

We then dropped them off at the Stout’s and had a quick visit to finalize our plans for the morning. Back at the ranch we continued our vacation preparations, packing one big suitcase between us. Britt originally planned to stay here while we were away but changed her mind. I made our favorite mushroom for supper, leaving her leftovers along with the roasted veggies I prepped too.

We rounded out our night with last-minute tasks, including writing the blog post that accidentally got lost during the past few weeks of chaos. We went to have a hot tub, only to remember S had turned the tub down while were gone. Back inside, we caught some Netflix before our early morning ahead.

Vacation begins....

The alarm went off at 4:45, with Harley being fed and sent out to pee, the bags were loaded, and we were on our way to town before 5:30. We picked up the Stouts 10 minutes later and arrived to the at Mercedes after 6. We were Ubered to the airport, sent off the bags, and went through security in short order once again. Breakfast was at Chili’s prepping us for our 6-hour flight Sharon and I grabbed a Starbucks before settling into our seats, 6E and 6F. Bonus seeing all the effort that was spent trying to find where the prebooked seats went and got these for free.

The flight had movies, me catching "It Ends with Us" while S chose "Furiousa" and "Wolverine." We landed in Huatulco 3:30 their time to a very quiet airport. You disembark on the tarmac basically walk right through customs and immigration. Darren had a transfer lined up with their tickets, so after grabbing cold beer for the, we made our way on the 25-minute to the Barceló. This the same place stayed 17 years with them and the Paetzs.

our wrap around balcony and room

We checked in at the premium level with tasty margaritas before finding our amazing bedroom 348 with two walls of windows and an ocean view. We met the Stouts at the buffet and enjoyed the warm, balmy evening before retiring to bed after a long day.
