Lexi's eye concerns

I was laying there pondering the events of the night when Kaylin text at 5 saying Lexi was restless all night. She emailed her specialist and I will call our vet to book her in for an appointment ASAP. Of course this had me laying there pondering best way to get her in. I was on the phone to the on call emerge vet before 8 as Shaina was making a tea for her meeting. I managed to get her booked in for eye surgery today with the plan to drop her there ASAP. I called and woke Kaylin who had given Lexi pain killers at 6 which finally knocked her out as well as K. She was taken by surprise of course being woke up and at this fast appointment. She would like to keep the specialist appointment to see if there is the one last procedure that may save the eye. I called our clinic back, and moved the surgery to Friday.

Time to put a pot of coffee on and feed H. An extreme cold warning was issued or actually I just think it has not been lifted. Shaina popped up to grab one then back to her work. I did some marketing before Mom called to catch up on all the recent events. Harley's duck food was delivered. Sheldon rousted from bed around 11:30 as Shaina started her jeep. Seeing I had a few errands including letting Oscar out I jumped in with her. Actually I drove and dropped her at the gym, dropped off mail, picked up the new winter horse blankets, did a deposit, picked up Cooper and a cabinet then grabbed teas and Shaina and headed south. A stop to let Oscar out found a fellow working there who said someone else was there to let him out a couple hours ago?? I checked with Matt and seems he had double booked Oscar care.

Back at the house with 5 minutes for Shaina to get to her next call at 1, I unloaded the dog, boxes and cabinet and took in tea to the resting prince. The dogs took a rip around then into dry. This happened multiple times even though it is -27. I had Bruce do his last loop then boxed him up to be swapped for Bruce 2. S finally worked up the courage to head out in the cold and ride in his fancy air ride skid steer and take the horses a bale. He also took 2/3 of the poop receptacles B and I had filled to the pit. I spent an hour online with 2 of the couriers to organize Bruce's return, trouble shoot a parcel Shaina has in duty jail and add gate codes to accounts. Thee horse feed was made and the blankets unboxed. Shaina and I will try them on horses when B arrives for feeding.

S was back in to big brown and made a rum and eggnog for us, Shaina popped up for her diet coke and some chili. I fed the dogs after yet another blast outside. For supper I made the Thai inspired pork chops HF meal. Britt was off work a bit early after her long last few days working and was able to join us at 6 to eat.

the last of Christmas in our house besides the tree box ready to go to mez at front door

When done the 3 girls bundled up along with Harley and went to try the new blankets on Pepper and KD. In the end we kept the black one for Pepper and KD is wearing the green one he had been wearing but B is still not sure of the fit.

She and Coop were off for home, Shaina back to her work, Sheldon was relaxing in the tub moving to bed to watch sports while I caught up the blog then watched a Queer Eye in bed. It sure has been a long day for most of us.
