first day in paradise

Our condo does not disappoint, it has the most amazing view. The condo is lovely, comfy bedding and towels and seems to be well stocked. A quick shower and we were off on a grocery stocking mission. We arrived at Costco 20 minutes early (it opens at 10) so we went to a nearby coffee store to grab a plain cup of coffee for S and a blended chai for me. This was our start of the $$$$ to the islands costs. (the 2 were $12 CND)  ;)

At Costco we got some supplies (again allot of sticker shock when a spinach salad is $17 US but we should have some food to get us by as well as coffee and baileys (liquor is where they have great prices).

Straight back to the condo to unload the $$ groceries and have a snack and refreshment.

We still needed a few things but not Costco sized so we aimed to hit Walmart. We stopped at a bar on the Alii drive before doing so (sadly Clamato is not an option at bars so I had a spicy Bloody Mary mix option). Walmart turned to Safeway just by chance on the route. We found Clamato, tuna, mayo and some rum and back to the condo. However once back at the condo I found the clamato we bought was picante!! This did slow my amount of beer and juice somewhat.

We enjoyed some cold beverages on our lanai. S wanted to cook steak and lobster for supper while I mixed us up some spinach salad. We ate during sunset on our lanai. Nice!  Even though it was a Sunday night, there was a wedding next door. It did not start till about 5 for the sunset and shut down by 9 lol

It was not long after supper and we were sacked, our condo has the most fantastic big brown, an entire couch with electric lazy boys on either end. It took us both down hard. S moved to bed at 7 and I was headed there at 8.. but man the night was HOT. I was awake at 1 and secured the deck screen doors hoping to get some more air flow thru the condo. Finally I took a sleeping pill at 3 and it eventually kicked in.
