hutch gets a workover

Monday, back to work for us all, some early some late. I got to work on the custom hutch hoping to have it done by Wednesday before they leave on vacation. It got the usual removal of hardware, backing and glass, repaired made sanding done and a good scrub before the black paint was put on.

this si the matching dining set she gave me for a discount on the custom fee

and here is the hutch before

glass, hardware, grating and backing removed

In between steps I managed to water the gardens and harvested my first zucchini!

My latest blue chair blog went live, of course a lady said she would like it in green ;) It was a beauty drying hay day hitting 27. I checked the swaths and still wet under neath but snapped these bale pics.

 here is the first bale..
yep only strung at the outside edges
and here are the bales S made after adjusting all the things needed to make it work properly

Britt rode before heading to her 4-8 salon shift. Sheldon made another trip to the JD store on his way home and again grabbed supper, tonight it is KFC. Every year you need the yummy fries and gravy and a greasy piece of chicken.

I headed back out to start putting hand rubbed poly on the now dry black (looks grey) paint. Sheldon decided to rake the hay swaths but today he chose a platinum tractor. When Britt got home from work she wanted a go at it too.
I also worked on adding the shimmer color she wanted starting with the backing

Today is brother Dale's birthday, Happy cake day D!!
