Lovely Sunday was an unplanned day that flew by. As I was updating the blog, neighbors text to see if they could drop by after lunch to check out our deck railing so I got busy waxing the vanity then sanding (outside of course) and scrubbing the now dry repaired chair.
Sheldon worked on cooking a sausage brunch then headed out to start on another stall wall. It was not long and the neighbors arrived as I watered my dry garden, go figure. They got a quick barn tour then up to the deck to check the railing which led to a beer. RED ALERT we only had 4 left!! so the next round switched to rum :)
The couple who stopped previously to check out and ride Baby returned just before 3 so I caught her and we spent about an hour with her riding, Britt demoing her skills and then a bit of polox info too, thanks Britt for your help, she put her back in the paddock during the polo portion. Once they were on there way, I joined the deck gang and Britt rode both KD and Bird, good girl. The weather was now hot and sunny but by the time Olsen's headed home at 6 it was back overcast. It did hover around 24 most of the day so again very nice.
Time for supper and then I headed back out to start the dark wax and clear wax the drawers after another paint coat went on this am. The chair got its turn getting vanilla frosted (paint color name ;) getting two coats done. Sheldon too headed back to the barn to nail up some more boards. Britt chillaxed with her laptop ;)
dark wax doesn't show well in garage lighting but it is pretty
Oh yes, Shaina's sky diving update.. it was a long delayed wait then a fairly long plane ride to the right height. She was the first one out and love the free fall portion, said just like floating. When the instructor asked if she wanted to try 360's she said sure but soon the late night beverages from the evening before combined to make an unwell tummy. Lets just say the fellow may have needed a shower once they safely landed ;) She does say she would try it again ;)
