How is it Wednesday?

What? How is it Wednesday? These last 3 weeks have been a blur. Dave was planning to drop Coop off at 7 and head north but seems his phone was off allowing him to sleep in. He arrived around 9:30. S made them both a toad in the hole and piece of French toast with their coffee. I worked on photo scanning and editing.

S vacuumed and did some dusting downstairs in living areas. I continued my photo capturing, editing, uploading but ran into issues of course. I put the turkey bones on for soup. Items were boxed up to return with labels printed. B arrived for turkey soup supper, fed Bird of course then she and Coop were off. After I stopped doing pictures for the day, S and I went for a hot tub soak.

Boxing Day 2023

I scooped Renn from Nathan who was up to let Beans out before 8. She and I played in bed till she had a diaper explosion requiring her to be delivered to her dad for a change and I to throw bedding in the washing machine. She was brought back up to play with me till 10 when I took her to K for a snack. I had turned the coffee on. Papa and S joined me followed by Mom K and K. I started French toast. Shaina was up too. Dave and Britt arrived as Nathan came up too.

Cards games, pool games with sports on TV were entertainment. As well as passing Renn around and watching her jolly jump a few times. Turkey buns and other goodies were had around 3:30. Dave also made a frozen ice cream dessert. Which was served with optional coconut pie for many.

Kaylin, Nathan & Renn left for the icy before 5. Mom and Dad K right behind them. Shaina was off to do a coaching call downstairs. Britt, Dave, S and I played board games for hours in front of a roaring fire. Shaina was off with Lexi after 5:30 to the city to drop L off and watch Renn while they ran out for a bit. Lots more snacks were consumed including yet another huge hamburger dip Dave made. They loaded up the pets and headed off after 10. We tidied a bit then hit the sheets.

This is the puzzle finished last night and broke up and reboxed today on boxing day

Christmas 2023

Merry Christmas to all. It is a bittersweet day for sure missing Dad. Renn was up with Kaylin on her first Christmas morning. S cooked the last ring of sausage with eggs and toast.

I got the turkey in the oven. Gifts were exchanged between the kids as well as ones they got us. Renn of course got all kinds of fun gifts. S got me an Apple Watch, new technology to add to my Apple collection. Kaylin set it up for me after it charged.

Grama and Papa arrived after 1:30. Grama brought all kinds of snacks and food. More gifts were opened. Dave cooked tasty coconut pies which we sampled mid afternoon. 

The turkey was cooked early. This had Shaina scrambling with her fancy Brussels sprouts. Britt created a delicious veggie salad too. The feast was enjoyed by all.

Evening was once again filled with card games, puzzle work and lots of snacks. The puzzle was finally completed after midnight. B, D and C left for the night as rest were off to bed. I worked on the blog as behind many days. I also checked out my new Apple watch features.
