More snow

Awoke to a fresh coat of snow, H went out at her usual 6 am and quickly back into her kennel. It is much warmer around -10 with the sun out in full force when I fed her breakfast. Computer work was done with a couple coffees then I went out to take off the horses blankets once they came in for water. Hello Fresh was delivered as I was finishing up. A past customer inquired yesterday about the record cabinet but she does not drive and would need delivery like we did for the dresser she previously purchased. Seeing we are going to the mountains next week I arranged delivery as we pass by and she paid in full!

In the garage I added wood filler on the dresser and while it dried lightly sanded the sideboard, polished the hinges, hung them and applied another coat of hemp oil all over and inside.

The dresser wood filler was sanded then a coat of primer painted on. The sideboard was wiped back and left to cure. Darn I forgot to let cats out so H and I headed out to do that and shovel sidewalk and scoop some poop.

The sun went away after lunch, boo but it was now -5 with light snow fall off and on all afternoon. After some accounting I was back to the garage adding more wood filler to spots and white staining the wood top and drawer fronts.

I have eggs coming so made pizzelles with the ones I have left. She arrived with fresh ones just after I had them all made. As per usual I eat too many while making them and not hungry for one of my yummy HF meals. I spent a few hours working on the vacation blog days finding I did 1 out of order first. B and Coop were out around 6:30 to feed. I took the kitties raw food and tucked them in for the night trudging thru yet another fresh snow covering. B and Coop headed home after 7. 

A bowl of salad was my late 8:30 supper while chatting with S who was eating late too and watching his Flames play. A soak in the tub then relax in bed was up next after finishing up the property tour day vacation blog post and publishing it.

Extreme cold warning again

BRRRRR -31 when I checked temperature during the night. They had forecast it to be an extreme cold warning over -40 with the wind chill overnight, poor animals. It was -27 when H was up at 7 but did not want to go outside but rather chose the garage. The bonus to the cold is a bright sunshiny day.

Time to get to work on creating a tutorial for the green succulent office desk tray with a hot coffee. Then it was the usual emailing and posting on sites as part of my paid "job". I got the photos uploaded for the pink wine case then moved on to downloading, editing and writing Dad's birthday blog post.

It was -23 around 11:30 when Harley's food was delivered and -17 at 1:30 so there is hope this crazy cold is leaving. I made a yummy spinach salad for lunch and worked on the bison soup for supper with Shaina. I was then off to let out the cats and work on the dresser scraping and sanding.

Then it was on to hemp oiling the sideboard, if this isn't the look I want I can stain in a couple weeks.

I then made up a kale salad and finished up the soup and let it simmer till Shaina arrived before 5:30. I pulled out Sadie and she pulled in the jeep. She had battery issues earlier with Nathan delivering her a new battery. She and I ate and visited before heading out to work on her jeep after she threw laundry in. B was out with Coop, fed the horses and left Coop while she was off to the Chinatown in the city for sushi with Dave. She had good news getting a bonus and raise today!!

I worked on the dresser while Shaina took her roof panels for light then the dash out. She ran the cats food and locked in while getting tools. The new stereo proved to be a bit of a challenge to install so she will leave till her friend is back in a week. We installed her new battery successfully at least. After putting roof panels back in, returning tools to shop and finishing up her laundry she was off before 9:30. The dogs and I headed to bed to watch some Netflix. B picked up Cooper at 10:30.

2-22-2022 !! and -22

My watch said - 28 when I let H out to pee at 6 am, I actually had to shoo her off the deck once she got out there. It had warmed to -24 when we woke. S ran out quick to plug in skid steer before turning on coffee. A cup was enjoyed in bed before showers got us prepped for the day. Did you realize today is 2-22-2022? 

S rolled a bale for the ponies to keep warm in this deep freeze before we headed to the city. We were off in two separate cars but S had to turn around to retrieve his power pack he had plugged back in after boosting car this am. We met at the World of Spas to meet a family friend who owns them. He showed us his favorite 1 in 2 sizes and made it very simple tossing in some extras too. We chatted about it over lunch at the restaurant down the street then back to sign the papers. We now have a Master Spa Twilight 8.25 coming in 5 weeks. Sheldon has a bit of work ahead prepping a gravel base and running power but it will be worth it.

I was now off to my dermatologist appointment with S heading to Princess Auto before making his way to the airport. My appointment to less time then finding a parking spot and the office. She says all moles are good and sent me on my way. Next was Costco where I finally had the luxury of wandering and looking at this rather then checking off a list. I am a great personal shopper and S has a pile of items to try when back home. I also scored some new plants. One I knew Shaina wanted but if she doesnt I will keep.

-17 is not the best time to bring plants to a car but fingers crossed they all make it. I got every thing loaded up and headed east making it home just after 4:30. Harley was most happy to see me seeing it was her supper time. I fed her and soaked the horses feed before unloading the car.

It is so fabulous to see the sun shining at 6 pm as H and I headed out to take raw food and put J away. I found he had been legit complaining having been locked out of the shop. He was now inside with his heat lamp with Stella. H froze up on the way back. I was surprised when Britt and Cooper came down the road to feed with this increasing light. The dogs only went out for a short bit then back in but B got the horses fed in this back to -22 temps but the skies were amazing!

After they were off I got busy catching up the blog days I am still so far behind. Dog food ordered, cleaning day changed, I watched Inventing Anna and ate a late supper yogurt/fruit bowl as I worked before heading to bed after 9 to watch a bit more.

Frigid Family Day

It was -16, brrr when we woke and got coffee on. We started family day relaxing in bed with coffee and learning how to whiten bison skulls on YouTube. We also searched some online places like Etsy and Marketplace to see pricing before watching the Ozark episode we turned off last night. 

S had a nap while I tried to catch up the blog quick then got into sorting papers. He worked on the farm GST while watching his Flames play at 2 and I health and accounting folders. This was a great task for the chilly day. B was out to feed horses mid afternoon having the day off.

I cooked up the last supper delicious HF meal: pork souvlaki style salad. After supper we went out to tidy the recyclables and unpack and organize bison. This helped the garage chaos that needs to be addressed.

We ended the day with an ice cream sandwich while watching 3 Ozark episodes before getting dozy. The temperature has dropped allot thru the day now to to -27 so S ran out to plug in car and grab battery pack to charge. Of course I was then awake after shutting off so watched some Wentworth and listened to some podcasts.
