Christmas Day

Christmas is here. H and I were up early but not the usual 7, today was after 8! I did some Santa socks and such even fit in a shower. S got up and made coffee. The girls joined early for them after 9 for coffee and gift exchange.

I made a huge batch of crepes. B and Cooper arrived to join us for them. It was a beauty day weather wise too. S cleaned the turkey out as B peeled potatoes. I got the turkey in the oven at 12:30. We relaxed and spent the day playing games. We got in one virtual video chat with grama, papa and the Candace crew.

The turkey bag said 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 hours for an unstuffed turkey but low and behold it only took 3 which threw us off as Shaina needed 45 minutes for her gourmet Brussel sprouts. But we got it done and what a yummy meal.

B took great care of the horses, she took them all her fancy horse muffins, gave all beet pulp as a Christmas treat.

Christmas Eve

It is Christmas eve, holy cow this year has gone fast even if it is crazy. The day was pretty relaxing as I prepped food and last minute things. Shaina was up pretty early too. I had an amazon delivery just after 9, yeah as it was part of Britt's present. S ran to town to get some last minute things; potato's and toilet paper to go with his gift making needs. He spent time working on his project once back.

Kaylin was out after lunch to join us for games and B was out late afternoon; snacks and games day. The wind picked up making it a crappy day to go outside as B hoped to skidoo ;( Another parcel was delivered but it was a gift from one of the paint companies I ambassador for, thanks.

I made a pot of chili for supper. Paetz's arrived after 6 for an evening of laughs, games and great snacks. They headed home after 10 and we continued to play games till midnight. B and Cooper headed home to sleep in their own beds.

Jewelry boxes galore

H was off her schedule needing to go out after 4. It was -13 out so I thought she would be fast but she did not come to calls. I checked back door and she was sitting waiting to come in for breakfast LOL no way lady, back to bed with you. She was up ready to try again after 7. This was doable, I perused Instagram waiting for S to wake and make coffee. S was fairly early for her, she made a cap seeing I had the machine heated to make S and I a special Christmas coffee.

Shaina was off to the city before 11. I sorted all my new jewelry boxes and got them entered in my spread sheet. S took H out who was stir crazy again before noon. He however got busy in the shop so I bundled up and went out to play with her for 20 minutes. The -11 is brisk but it is very sunny.

Back inside I made a batch of Grama W's buns for Christmas. S was back in at 1 for a leftover dinner. A rest in big brown and he headed out to move cars and finish plowing yard around 3. This worked for me to finally wrap Christmas presents. A lady had been enquiring about the round coffee table trying to lowball me even though on sale. I caved and gave her a deal if she came today. Her and her husband arrived as I was panning my buns at 4. They looked to take it until the veneer was mentioned, oh well. Off they went. S came in as they left.

We had a drink and played cards. I cooked up some goulash to go with my buns for supper, S put the kitties in for the night and closed up the shop. B and Coop were out after 7 to get supper and play cards as well. She was then off for home after 9 having to work half a day tomorrow then on vacay. We watched Kingdom. Shaina was home around 12:30 as we were finishing up an episode.

SNOW day!!

Shaina was up at 5:45 making her cappuccino for her 6 am meeting, I fell back asleep until after7. It was still lightly snowing out -4 so H balked at going out. We reversed with food then out and back to warm kennel. S made coffee to enjoy a cup in bed and catch up with the week. I then jumped in the shower quick while he played tug of war and hold this bone while I chew with H. Time to stage the latest painted pieces.

Shaina had gone back to sleep after her early meeting but then up at 10 for another cap and made scrambled eggs for us. I put a roast in the slow cooker seeing it is a snow day. B's day off has her snowed into her garage but doubt she could get thru the gate here either as S had to take a run at it last night.

While Shaina did an online interview with one of her clients S went to shovel the sidewalk & push snow with his new skid steer and I worked on writing tutorials with H having a treat in her kennel. I also had a sale for the grey cedar box.. finally it found a home. It wont be picked up till later but is paid in full.

I made French toast for lunch, Shaina joined us after her noon meeting. We weighed Harley who came in at 92 pounds. S went back to play in the snow, little S to do her online chats and I to work on tutorials and ad posts. Seeing the grey box sold I had to replace on Etsy so I staged up the S&P and wrote up an ad. The wind continued but the sun came out after 2.

S was back in at 3 having cleared the driveway, gate and yard. He wasn't in long but did fit in a phone appointment with his doctor. Isn't that crazy in covid to have a phone appt? Shaina unloaded her workout equipment as well as the box of jewelry boxes Kaylin gave her last week. I started unboxing but only made it thru 4. They look great and will be perfect new year projects.

S headed off again on his first skid steer hire over at Matt's at 4. I peeled carrots for supper and was taking the peels out to the horses just after 4 when B and Cooper pulled in. Harley and Coop had a blast in the snow. I played with them then brought H in to get the veggies in the roast pot. B had fed bird and put on her blanket then tossed a small square bale for the ponies. She and Coop were off for home before 5.

I did some freelance videoing for Shaina K Fit in the basement then was back to the blog and tutorials. S was back at 5:30 swapping the bucket for the spike to go roll the horses a bale. I had supper ready at 6 for my roomies. It was the beef beef ever according to little S and we had to agree.

After her 6:30 meeting Shaina washed up the pots and pans, S relaxed finally on the couch for his rest catchup Tuesday and I finished the tutorial for the nightstand and got it posted in a few places. We attempted to start Kingdom but S was asleep before 8 pm so I read my book.
