Melting then snow fall

Usual Sunday start to the day. Late morning S even cooked up a couple toad in the holes and his day's work was packing his vacation suitcase seeing he will only arrive back Thursday night and we leave Friday early. I did start sorting items to take along too esp medical ones.

I staged the coffee table and will post a sneak peek tonight in hopes of a sale.

B brought Cooper out for his play date after lunch and had S glue a fridge part while we went out. B loaded a hay net for tomorrow and put in trailer and cleaned the frozen poop out then gave B&B some pellets while sharing rest of bale with all horses. I filled the salt/mineral tubs which were all empty again and gave out pills. B loaded up Cooper and headed back to town after 2.

I was back in the garage gluing the bread box in yet another position and then later in another. This was not the best buy ;( I washed some horse laundry and rags while cleaning and S did shake out the mat at the main garage door that traps sooo much dirt.

Inside I worked on marketing. I did an Instagram share post and it ended up taking me so much of the day to partake but hope in turn there are some buyers or new followers who might become buyers ;) S enjoyed relaxing most of the day other then packing seeing he is off north tomorrow. Snow started to fall around 5:30 as forecast. Nice to see fresh snow after another melting plus 1 day.

Hockey started early today at 5 so he enjoyed that popping up to eat his requested creamed chicken supper then right back down to the game. In the end, Flames won. I watched another Safe. I was talking to Mom this afternoon and during supper she messaged Dad fell and split his forehead open requiring 10 stitches, yikes!! Feel better soon Dad! XOXO

Coffee table complete

I cruised Instagram being awake before 8 until the coffee maker went off waking the prince. A coffee in bed is always a great way to start a Saturday esp a windy one. The chinook winds though as it was zero in the middle of the night after the winds started late last night. It did hit plus 3 today.

I did a bit of marketing with cup of coffee number 2. As I was working away I saw a coyote right near the east fence so called Elmer Fudd. He lept out of bed, raced to the garage where he left the gun and back to the front door. I had distracted the coyote till then and he took aim. And it connected which had me hustling him to get dressed and head out to deal with it. That is one way to get him moving on a project LOL. He was busy all morning now including taking the 3 horses their pills on his way by.

I then headed out to get busy on the coffee table. I sealed it up with poly then put on a mandala stencil and waxes through out the day.

We stopped for a late lunch after 1 but I had an Etsy help call from Sharon that took an hour so I ate at 2 as S was having his nap in big brown. Britt and Cooper stopped out for a bit of a jaunt and horse check and were off back to town after 3. I was cleaning out and reorganizing my main storage cabinet. This was well needed. S ventured back out to finish up stretching his hide and stretching it. I add another wax, this time black to the coffee table then set about scrubbing up all the brushes, stencils and another bread box to paint.

When he came back in around supper he helped me carry the coffee table in before kicking back to relax in big brown. I had brought in frozen chicken to late in the day so a pizza and left over steak were out supper with a side of cold beers. Prince had started a fire for supper but was off to TV room for hockey after eating. I worked on blog posts and wrote a tutorial for the recent bread box. I started a new Netflix show tonight called Safe. It is by same writer as The Stranger and the main actor is Dexter.

Impromptu town run

After a couple coffees S remembered the merc was to be at the shop so he grabbed the trash and set out at 9:30. I changed and followed him in picking him up and stopping at walmart for a few travel items and groceries. We stopped and washed the car as it was really nice and plus 2 out. On route home we looped thru McDonald’s drive thru for an iced coffee and the mail.

Back at the ranch it was time to get a larger project underway. I hauled out the large square coffee table and scrubbed it up after moving pieces around to make space. Once dry I tried sanding the top then stripped it unsuccessfully with a new “environmental” stripper then back to more sanding.

S decided to head outside running the basket of stall shavings/ poop to the pit after sweeping barn floor and moving snow around the driveway. He put the sweep on the wet door too. I started painting the table in layers of blues taking a break to walk pills out to the horses before 4. Lola got a quick brush while S enjoyed his beer in the sunshine.

We cooked up another yummy steak supper. We do have this meal mastered to a T! S was off to watch his Flames vs Dave's Bruins. I jumped into the tub to soak while enjoying a lovely very bougie mask ($17 US) from Kaylin while watching more The Stranger. I would share photo but Kaylin said I looked like a serial killer with the mask on LOL I finished the season in my cozy bed then moved on to YouTube paint tutorials then finally reading the book. After 11 the very unhappy Flames fan came to bed and in short order was asleep.

What a cool date 2-20-2020!! Coffee in bed and a slow start but after toast we both set out at 11; me to give pills to horses (yesterday was a miss) and S to unload and stack the wood. I dealt with a gal interested in the teal end table and after some odd interaction she says she is coming for it.

We had lunch while catching the news. The sunshine today is fabulous and calling for warmest day of the week. At 1:30 it is PLUS 8 :), the end table was picked up just after 2. S enjoyed crossword and internet time in big brown in the sunshine with an occasional nap while I worked on updating sale posts and the recent sale. Blog posts were worked on too. I wrote a new Hometalk post for the magazine rack.

After being rousted to enjoy the warm day, S took the truck and trailer to town to wash and fill with fuel. I started some chili to simmer on the stove. He was back at 5 just in time for our financial meeting with Craig not long after. In usual style the meeting took a couple hours with the most in depth financial advisement with a few rounds of beverages served by the prince. Once it wrapped up after 7:30 C was on his way home and we chowed down on the tasty chili. S was then off to the TV room and I to do some marketing before getting cozy in bed with Netflix at 9 watching more The Stranger, S was up and snoozing by 10.
