watering day

Friday was a day in the sunshine for me. I watered garden, flower beds, horses, trees and grass for 8 hours straight ;) Every water source was running. Everything is looking so green. While the water flowed I walked the dogs, pulled rhubarb, cleaned out the horse trailer and put shavings under a few trees.

Britt was a helper once she was up and filled the salt/mineral tubs in all shelters, put 2 ponies out to graze down the new hot wire area and chopped some of the rhubarb for my pies, thanks B! She was then off to work for 3. One of my great customers stopped out with 3 old chairs her husband found me and had a visit in the sunshine, thanks Ryan and Abbie!

Been awhile since I spent nearly entire day outside but what a list I did. I emptied 1250 gallons from the one tank and moved to the next. Hard to tell how much drained from the shop one but lots I am guessing.

Around supper Jamie and girls arrived to pick up Olivia's completed vanity. We enjoyed a fun visit before they were off east.

Once home from work Britt home caught 3 horses and we rode in the fantastic evening yet again, the day was another beauty with a high of 25. Following our ride and dog run for Lola, B fed horses while I trimmed Hawks fronts with new info. Time for a hot soak and catch up on some PVR shows while Britt was caught up in another book. Wild Friday night for the Kuhn girls!

city day

Today I was up and off to the city before Britt was even up, ok it was just before 10 and she is on summer hours ;) Once I finally found the dealers I sat for hour to install new panoramic glass piece. Originally they said they needed for 4 hours but seems not so so saved a shuttle trip. Once it was finished I was off to meet girls at Market Mall for lunch. Kaylin has a short break so it was good old Opa. Always good to see my city girls!! XOXO

Shaina and I did some shopping before she was off to IKEA to buy a bed frame and I was off to costco to restock there. The once sunny day now turned threatening again and it did have a wee rain at home Britt said but I never hit any in the city. My next stop had me again GPS lost finding new location of my naturopathic dr but I eventually found it.

What is a trip to the city without my other 2 favorite stores; winners where I loaded up good finally finding shorts and Home Sense where I came out empty handed, WTH! Time to grab a chai tea and head home. B was at work so I unloaded my goodies and ate scrumptious spinach salad with all my fruit before walking my dogs in what was now nice weather again.

hail but only small

Load up the coffee and end tables and head to town mid morning followed by an acupuncture appointment. Today I had all kinds of issues and felt like a real pin cushion ;) But in the end it always feels better, thanks Christine. Next stop was to drop the tables at Noosa Beach, a great venue to get my products seen, thanks Stacey. The rest of the morning was spent running errands to restock my stain colors (a custom ruler was ordered with a colonial maple as stain choice), booze and groceries.

After grabbing my lunch which was an ice cap I headed to the vet clinic to pick up and pay for the no longer needed coggins tests. The north was getting so dark and threatening and once at the vets an emergency alert came over the TV with a tornado warning!! Best get home, so called Britt who was having a Netflix day to run out and move deck chairs. She also was checking her steeds when I arrived to unload and suggested she park in the shop.

We then hunkered down watching the news cast, to the south clear sunny day and to the north dark threatening blackness, now coming from west, grey looming imminence. It wasn't too long before lightening , thunder and rain began followed by a brief bout of hail. Thank God it was small and short lived and the remaining new truck hooked to horse trailer, all the horses and the oat field rode it out with little damage.

Took dogs for a walk to check the crop and all looks well thank the heavens!

5 week vacation came to an end, Sheldon was up around 3:45 am to head back north. Luckily I managed to sleep till 7:30, yeah! I tried to start my day with a Tassimo chai latte but things did not go so well, seems Sheldon maybe did something to it as coffee ground floated in the overflowing cup of creamer.. eekk  (He later confirmed there was some big mess up at 4 am)

Garden watering for first task for me, looks like a hot day and maybe rain later in the week. Britt was up fairly early to showering for her photo shoot but ended up watching Netflix before I rousted her back on task. We had a fun shoot in the glorious sunshine. Here are a few from the 150 I took ;)

Back in around noon thirty Shaina was finally up cooking eggs, of course. Lunch was had and then the 3 of us went out for a ride. What a warm day it was becoming, hosing was most welcome for all 4, as Shaina ponied Pepper along with us too.

They both got ready to head to work, Britt at 3 and Shaina at 4. The temperature was now 27 with hardly a cloud. I headed to the garage to work on the vanity only to find the wax still tacky. With help from the company I buffed it all all off which of course took the dark wax too so it was starting from scratch with the dark wax layer but got it all done along with the chair too.

Dogs needed a walk so off we went, another fantastic night.
