973 - Christmas Eve

Day 973 is Christmas Eve 2013, wow time has flown. Diego decided it was wakeup at 8:30 so a relaxing morning ensued.

I made a couple loafs of banana bread before Britt and I played a bit of pool while Sheldon relaxed and Shaina got ready. The day was another beauty at plus 2.

Sheldon moved bales while I vacuumed and wiped down the pool table.

Once back inside we started our game day before breaking to make our traditional oyster soup for supper in honor of Grandma and Grandpa Ball. Kaylin and Aaron arrived around 8 and joined our game night. Lots of fun was had before calling it a night by 2

972 - weather turns nice, plus 2!

Day 972 was another relaxing sleep in day. I got up made coffee and let the dogs out before most got up. Aaron made us scrambled eggs after he got up and soon they were headed home as Kaylin works at 1 today. What a beautiful day at plus 2 finally!!

Britt went to the city with Jarrid and Brooke to do last minute shopping. I started a good whole house cleaning, laundry and preparing snacks for the holiday week. Sheldon ran to town to do some errands bringing back a hot chai tea :-)

I stoked up a fire for ambiance more than anything since weather was so lovely but also to try the new birch then neighbors Matt and Marissa stopped at 5 to join us for a holiday supper. Britt made it home and quickly cleaned bathrooms for the festive season. Shaina made it home in time to join us too. The girls did their own thing while we played Yahtzee, cards and the boys a few games of pool before they ventured home leaving us and Britt to watch Grown Ups 2 before heading to bed around midnight.

971 - movie Sunday

day 971 was a relaxing start. Eventually up by 10 Glenn and Roxie made a lovely breakfast and after a nice visit we stated our trip back to the ranch just before 1. Of course a stop was needed at Tims go get a hot tea but today it was two fold. There is some issue in the Buick that when left out in the cold overnight the blower will not function. This made for a chilly ride home especially for the toes.

Once home I curled up in my warm bed with Britt beside me watching Anchorman. Sheldon hit the TV room for football. He ran the horses a bale later in the afternoon but it was still bitterly cold at -20. Shaina got up late and putzed around before getting ready to go to work at 5 then attend the Station Christmas party tonight.

Kaylin brought a sweet gift for each girl in her life, so many goodies, thanks sweets!! XOXOXO

We watched The Lone Ranger, Aaron Kaylin and Lexi arrived just as it neared the end so we stopped to cook a delicious supper of steaks on the barbecue. Kaylin was off to a Christmas party with Aaron as the chauffeur. Britt took off to to a hockey game so Sheldon and I watched The Croods. Kaylin and Aaron were back late in the evening while Shaina stayed over at Jenna's.

970 - Happy birthday Mom!

Day 970 was a nice sleep in Saturday, it is also my Mom's birthday so enjoyed chatting with her for hour and a half catching up on life. Cheers Mom XOXOXO

It was a slow day for all. Britt got home around lunch and brushed up Coco and dressed her for her Christmas photo. The housecoat rack fellow stopped to grab his gift.

After lunch Sheldon sorted recyclables and ran them to town. It is only -12 but the wind makes it feel colder. Shaina was off to work for 3:30 as Sheldon and I got ready to head to Cole's for a Christmas party. Britt too was getting ready as she is heading to 2 hockey games tonight. Busy day for all, cheers!!
