Town run #2

After our usual dark start to the day I got working on a Hometalk post for the navy antique table with my first cappuccino after a shower. Time to let the kitties out into the sunshine. Water was refilled, food topped up and everyone got a bit of raw deer. I made a few trips to the garage freezer getting the last of the meat scraps to the freezer as this one is definitely not working. Harley got another bone section that kept her busy for awhile. Back inside I black waxed the antique table hauled in and staged it up.

The jewelry box was buffed, a Creative Moments sticker and care sheet added and set at door ready for pick up tomorrow. B text she would be late today and could I let Cooper out or better yet bring him to the ranch for another play day. I finished up a few things, changed out of my paint clothes, loaded Harley and was off to town at 1.

Our first stop was Paetz's to pick up a candle I purchased locally that was dropped off and visit quick then drop the finished library book off. Next it was to pick up Mr Cooper to bring to his play day. They waited for me while I ran into Walmart for a few more things then thru Tims once again to grab a tea and the beef sandwich today and some dog Timbits. I scooped the mail which had parcels on the way home and dropped the trash arrive back at 3 pm. 

I unloaded everything while the dogs went off to play, actually to chew on the spine bone for awhile. Once the ice cream was put away I heated my tea, pulled on the covies and took the dogs for a long walk. It was another beauty day at PLUS 11!! They hauled the bone along part way and left it. Cooper went back for it after our walk was over and I was brushing the heavily shedding Harley. I think it is the raw meat added to her diet that is causing this and the horrible smelling farts.

Driving in the truck today at times was almost unbearable with her nasty farts. The stool customers husband stopped to pick it up before 6. I had the new candle burning and the house smelled lovely. When he came to the door she got all excited and when I asked her to sit she let off a huge stink bomb. So much for the lovely candle smell Harley! I have decided no more raw meat for a few weeks and see if her tummy gets better. She took a whole box of probiotics in November only to become the fart queen.

As he was leaving I took H to garage to feed her supper while I worked on a secret project. Seeing I had a late lunch I just had the last of the fresh bread toasted with jam, like I had for supper yesterday HAHA.

I wrote a tutorial for the sofa table and got it posted and shared and sent to the sponsor company. I was working on the blog when Britt arrived before 7:30 to pick up her "son" from day care. She put the cats away before heading home to shower and fix a meal for them. I continued computer work then moved to bed after 9 to watch a bit of Youtube then listen to a podcast. I was awoken by the barking doorbell at 11:30 when Shaina arrived home.

Town run and a couple sales

So dark waking up after 7, while H ate this am I washed a paint brush then we came in to rest a bit as it was not even 7:30 yet. However that never works so I got up made a cappuccino and got to marketing. The kitties were excited to get out as today is going to be even warmer then the days so far this week. The table was wiped of excess oil and looks great. The jewelry box was painted a second coat of purple.

I loaded up H and we headed to town at 10:30. I need milk and have a few other stops planned. Restock the Michelob was first then Harley and I checked out the bath tub at Pet Valu. She walked right up and into the tub and loved being in the store. Just like a kid in a candy shop. The worker also gave her a few duck jerky treats which made it even better. This may be where she gets her bath!

Now to load her back up; still not a fan of the ramp and luckily I had a we piece of the duck jerky treat to reward once in as I had a coat with no treats in the pocket. Our next stop was to pick up Cooper.

I ran into Walmart for milk and cat food and a couple other groceries then stopped at at store to smell candles made by a local artisan I found this am. This store also has a space where local artisans can put pieces in with 25% commission so checked that option out too. Amanda text she had picked up a couple more library books B & I ordered so I headed there to grab them swinging thru Tim's to get a tea and chicken bun for lunch. Of course Harley got her Timbit and Cooper's :) A short visit at the Paetz door then we were off for home arriving after 12:30 to glorious PLUS 11 degrees.

The pups were off for a rip while I hauled things in and got busy painting the jewelry box stenciled details then scrubbed up stencils. They enjoyed the slushy snow play then were in for a nap while I waxed the jewelry box. 

I took pictures and posted it on Etsy then took the dogs for a big walk before it got dark. They did well on their recall of course because I had liver treats. It was a good walk with of course J starting and ending with us. I put him and the kittens away as it was now just after 5 and pitch black out. Everyone got some raw deer meat treats before I came in.

Mr Jenkins always has to come along or complain from a distance if snow is too deep. He honestly thinks he is part of the pack.

I was working on marketing when I got an Etsy sale; the jewelry box I posted an hour ago!! Yeah. And the gal was from Chestermere and had not read free pickup so I arranged that and refunded her shipping, she will get Saturday. Harley is shedding like crazy so I whipped around with the vacuum. I hope the bath will help and maybe some brushing.

As I carried on with computer work when I had Amanda tag me in a FB post looking for a growth ruler so sent photos of my 2 I have for sale to her and another lady looking and both seem interested, fingers crossed but one let me know she went with a lady ahead of me. And then I had a previous custom message about the window chalkboard. She will pick it up tomorrow from Moore's. Britt was out to pick up Cooper quick at 8 just in time for me to bag it up perfectly in a orange garbage bag for her to leave for curbside pickup. What a great day!

There was even fireworks to the east to celebrate today :) I carried on with marketing and computer work adding more items to my Etsy store and working on tutorials. I shut it down before 10 grabbing a bowl of yogurt and heading to bed to finish my book but got sidetracked with some cookie jam games before finishing it.

Beauty plus temp day

Shaina was up making her cappuccino at 5:45, I checked if H needed to go out but she was good till after 7. I buffed the wax on the stool and brought it back in to dry while H ate. Inside she laid at the foot of my bed while I rested for a bit longer then go on with the day. Shaina hit her bed after her early morning meeting. Cappuccinos and computer work had me updating more affiliate links in blog posts.

When letting the kitties out I checked the freezer as per the boss's orders and found it was cool but his meat was not frozen. I checked yesterday and it seems colder but today is warmer and tomorrow even so. I found he did not have the temperature control to coldest so adjusted it to that and took out a tub full of Harley meat and moved to fridge freezer as a bit of room now burger gone. H and the kitties all got some fresh meat too. 

I put another coat of clear on the tub tray and moved stuff around to get onto new projects. The antique table was milk painted in a custom charcoal brown color I created for auntie Mindy (it is her birthday today too). Of course I forgot to repair the on side bottom so glued and clamped it and left to dry and painted the rest later in the day.

It was so lovely and sunny PLUS 7 out at so I cleaned up a coffee table and hauled it out to sand. The top had been painted and it was on like glue so decided to wait until I get my heat gun that is on its way. Seeing it was so nice I took Harley for a loop around our fence line to burn off some steam. She has taken to chewing the logs she debarks so must need more exercise.

Shaina was up now and working on her noon Instagram post and eating left over Chinese food. She also was packing up to head to Banff and Calgary for a few days. She is very blessed to have a mobile job that can be done via her technology gadgets. I cleaned up the latest jewelry box I purchased and needed to decide on a color. This had me sorting thru all my paint and getting a box full to sell to a fellow painter.

I threw in a couple loads of garage laundry and got them done today then finished painting the table then came in and painted the jewelry box aubergine after vacuuming it all out. 

Leftover Chinese food for supper then I went out to garage to feed Harley supper before 6 and ended up sanding and hemp oiling the table till B and C arrived before 7:30. She ate the rest of the fried rice and after a quick poop & play time (Cooper that is) they headed back home to cook supper for B and to watch Masked Singer finale.

I love how the milk paint and hemp oil allow for wood grain to show.

H and I went out to put kitties away but they were not keen to stay in tonight when it is so nice out but I managed to wrangle them in. I checked the freezer and nothing really frozen so alerted the boss. Inside I caught up the blog with a beverage and cheezies. Boss text Matt had room in his freezer so I loaded Harley and the meat and hauled it over after 9. The gate was messed up for Britt so I had to get it working but dropped meat, back thru working gate and in the house before 9:30. Once I finished up computer things it was off to bed to read more of my book, almost done.

December 1 already

I woke before H watching the full moon to the west and the sunrise to the east. It was pretty cool. I sent her out and fed her then relaxed in bed for a bit longer watching the moon. Once up I jumped in the shower, threw the bedding in the wash, applying another clear coat on the back of the tub trays then got busy with catching up the blog with a cappuccino 

Today is cleaning day, clean bedding put back on, main floor vacuumed until I went to put on the carpet cat. Nothing; I took it apart cleaned out and put back together with still nothing. A call to the dealer suggested dropping it off with them to assess and they do have new ones coming in on sale. I also got thru to the food disposal company and thru warranty have a replacement coming.

Britt and Cooper stopped out to do the usual including a bit of poop scooping before they headed back to town. It was another beauty plus 5 day. 

Shaina was off to town after lunch to work out, she is also picking up a dehydrator from Paetz's as I cannot find mine. She was back around 3 and not long after a friend stopped out to meet the horses, cats, Harley and visit. While she was off to town I clear coated the front on the one tray and the black stool was waxed. 

Shaina made cappuccinos for us all once back inside and I layered up the beef jerky in the dehydrator while visiting. They were off to play pool while I did marketing and computer work. Britt arrived after 6 bearing Chinese food (credit from Mother's Day) and Tim's for supper. It was way better then Mother's day order. The 3 went off to play Guitar Hero while I watched the dogs and worked on the computer. I wrote another Hometalk post, this one for the navy accent table then wrote a tutorial for the green and gold frame.

Britt and Cooper left just before 8:30, she put the kitties away before she left, THANKS B. Shaina made popcorn after 9 and again shared a dish with me, thanks Dudie. I crawled into bed after finishing up computer work and read for a bit. I have been rotating trays in the dehydrator every hour and was taking out the now dried pieces at 11:30 and bagging up when Shaina's friend headed home and she and I called it a night. Tomorrow is 6 am body smart meeting.
