Roo goes to school and rain finally

There was a bit of sun when I awoke but it soon left. While drinking my cappuccino I wrote a bistro set tutorial (copied my one from last night mostly) for Hometalk.

Britt was out just before 10 bringing me a chai tea, thanks B. She ate her sausage muffin before heading out to give meds then catch miss Roo. Today she is going to school. B caught and brushed her all up ready to go and we had her loaded and off after 10:30 arriving at 11 exactly for her drop off time. Anna was surprised how big she was. Her new roommate is a quiet black gelding that is in store for a feisty day ahead. After a brief chat we were off leaving her at her new home for 2 months.

Back at the ranch, the clouds were getting darker and windier but we caught Pepper, Bird, Switch and KD and took them for a conditioning walk/trot. When we finished up at 1 the weather was even yuckier with more wind and less possibility of rain. B and Cooper headed home and I put a coat of poly on the buffet top.

I touched up the black chairs just because then staged the jewelry box and got it posted on Etsy. It and the shadow box were tagged and put down in the shop area awaiting a sale.

Moving on to Kaylin's room I rearranged, stored away and vacuumed the entire room to make room to start the wallpaper process.

While I had the vacuum and motivation going I rearranged and vacuumed TV room and main room too. The weather turned even worse around supper time blowing tons of winery dirt our way. There were a few sprinkles but hours of wind. I brought in that neat wood box I scored while back and tried to get the super glued stickers all off it while watching the news. It was a bugger, they had to be soaked with a damp cloth and scraped off but I eventually got it all. During this time I cooked one meat pie to find it was the spicy jalapeno one so got the last one out of the freezer and cooked it up.all moved

Back out to the garage to put a 2nd coat of poly on then a catch up on the blog. The rain finally started to come down before 10 when I headed to bed to watch a few more Restaurants on the Edge, some YouTube and Scrabble. It came down for a couple hours. One tower says half inch in Carseland the other say 2/10ths in Strathmore and seeing we are half way between I hope we got on the higher end. Fingers crossed.

River Ride

Another beauty day ahead. I got busy marketing, updating blog, pushing out the plant cart and enjoying a few hot caps. Time to get busy; horses got their drugs

and buffet. I finished up at 12:30 in time to scarf down the last of the fried rice for lunch.

B arrived at 1 with Shaina and Jacob following her up the lane. We loaded tack and snacks and beverages (which ended up not being used) then the horses and on the road by 2. Down to the river in the 20 degree sunshine to unload and tack up and we were on the trails at 2:30. The river valley is not green yet so felt very fall like for dried leaves and trees. We came upon fishermen at the river and a ton of deer popping out all over causing for a few good spooks. Quote of the day "where Daisy goes, I go!" And that he did, good job Jacob.

Back at the ranch all horses were unloaded; Bird let go, B hosed Switch and released and Daisy tied up. Shaina roached KD's mane while I scooped all the poop out of the horse trailer. I held Daisy while B scrubbed her up good and within 3 feet of the gate when released she happily rolled. Jacob started to change Britt's oil and found she had the wrong filter. He had to run to town and get the right one.

Shaina bathed KD next, she enjoyed her spa day. S walked her to the pasture to avoid the dirt roll. Britt was trying to catch naughty Roo eventually catching her. The hosing was a whole other lesson. Bird was bathed next and fed. I came in to help Shaina get supper going. She cooked up hotdogs on the barbeque and had picked up a yummy salad to go with along with chips and pretzels.

We all ate then B and J went to change her tires. They had some issues with an adapter but got 3 changed. Shaina relaxed and caught up on her multiple emails after her win. I staged the shadow box and wrote up an Etsy post. Around 7:30 when J was done tires, he and S were off to the city. B had to find Cooper and was off for home just a bit after them. I continued to write shop posts on my FB page.

A shower and a smoothie while I wrote a quick tutorial for the bistro set while my loads of laundry finished up. Then relax with the iPad time.

May 1

May 1st, where did you come from?? Today is a gorgeous sunny day ahead. I awoke to a message that my stenciled dresser was chosen top 5 makeovers in April on an Instagram page so had to get it shared up for my followers and family to vote for it.

However when I got up out of bed I had usually long dizziness and weird off balance feeling. I tried a cappuccino while I answered emails and did marketing but it got worse. The delivery guy stopped at 10 with my wallpaper from Sweden so I did a live opening of it.

I researched ways to get rid of vertigo as that is what it feels like. No luck. Next I took a gravol seeing I was feeling nauseous, hopping in the shower then crawled into bed at noon for a wee nap. It seems the combo helped as feeling much better when I awoke at 12:30. YAY!

The day was so lovely, I pushed out the plant cart into the 15 sunshine. The Shubert trees are leafing out!! Last night inspired me to root some violets so I propagated some leaves and potted them up. I tried the first container but too short so opted for the pretty cake serve as the terrarium. The horses were close so ran out their meds before getting dressed for the day finally.

I installed the chicken wire in the wall cabinet then painted a second coat on and left to dry.

This am I had the lovely cash register sound go off with an Etsy sale. It was the navy and copper salt and pepper set so I got them all boxed up, label made and they are ready to head to Massachusetts .

The round dining table is being picked up today so hauled it up and laundry was thrown in too. I am so glad I am feeling much better as I would hate to waste such a lovely day. I finally felt like eating so had the left over Chinese food at 3:30 as a brupper of sorts.

Back to the garage to wax the shadow box. I brought the jewelry box I had stained the top of the other day and painted it the same linen color as shadow box and buffet while watching the news.

The round dining table was picked up after 6 with a quick load and on their way back in the sunshine. Thanks Shelly and Hugh. After 2 coats of paint the jewelry box was taken out sand distressed and waxed and left again to dry.

I was marketing when Britt and Cooper popper out. She had picked up new meds for Lola. She gave her the injection while I brushed more hair. This poor girl has hair overload. I moved in my plants while B went to check horses. Seeing the dogs were going to head south I called them for a walk to go meet Britt. The golden hour is my favorite so was well worth it. They then loaded up and headed home at 8 as I got back to marketing. B took the parcel to drop at the mail tomorrow too, thanks!

Shaina called with fab news, she WON the personal fitness contest she has been training for for the last 8 weeks. There were 1600 women entered and probably as many men and she was #1. Just look at her results, how could she not have won!! What did she win you ask? $8000 US (6 months) in personal online coaching with this famous Australian coach. WAY TO GO!! 

As I headed to bed at 10:30 I realized my clean sheets were still in the dryer LOL Not long after I crawled into my nice cozy bed to catch some Netflix. Don't you love the feeling of fresh linens and a comfy bed?
