another beauty day

Sheldon was off to work today, nice short work week it was. The day started out overcast but soon warmed up hitting 19 yet again. I put a couple coats of clear poly on all 3 tables and once dry spent time staging. The 2 green old world ones took a pile of tries but the grey table got it on the first shot!

 

I knew the colors did not work after seeing the picture so went to greens/amber

but the staging gal was not a fan of amber or plant really so added books for height

All the pieces were moved downstairs and posted on the various sites. I did get out in the sunshine for a bit to feed apples to the horses and give Switch her pills and flush the sarcoma.

Choosing GG's favorite color purple, I painted up another spice rack and  picture frame.

The rest of my day was dreaded housework.. I seem to put it off as long as possible, haha. I finished up in time to cook up supper for the prince once home from work.

Britt was home at 7 after spending time with her sisters in Calgary shopping and going out for supper. We had family movie night watching a sweet movie called Oddball, based on a true story about maremmas in Australia.

Today feels like a Monday but it is actually Thursday . Sheldon had it off as a bereavement day so it was coffee/creamer surfing to start.

 My plans to get back to work started with marketing posts and such but the internet was not wanting to work well today so best go to the garage. Today was create the fresco finish on those 2 end tables.

Just before lunch, a gal messaged dropping off a parcel for Shaina so Sheldon met her at the gate where he changed the close timer to a much better shut time and added some spray foam to the power box to keep a mouse family out!

The day was simply gorgeous when the horses came for water I gave switch her pills and flushed the sarcoma. I was going to head out and plant tulip bulbs after I had a bowl of soup for lunch when I got a text I was missing my massage appointment! Yikes, I quickly headed off to town to catch a 30 min massage. I had a parcel in to to pick up, yep more paint ;) Before coming home I made a stop at the recycle and scored some glass pieces. My car says 21 which seems a bit higher then the for sure 18! Wahoo

Sheldon had finished his soup and collected up the old oil and trash and was at the dump when I headed home. He continued to town to restock the beer supply, meet with Gary for a coffee and check on the roofing at the rental before getting home with takeout for early supper. Yum and thanks . I went back to work on the tables and seeing it was such a nice evening, Sheldon hung the deck gate, finally. (With a bit of help from mwhaaa)

GG's service

Coffee and breakfast started the bustling day. Everyone was ready to go and off to GG's funeral service around 10:30. It was another lovely service including mass followed by the final farewell at teh cemetery. The sun was shining bright on all the family surrounding her as we all said goodbye. I counted 47 grand, great grands and great greats in GG's tree and out of them there was only Chantelle & family, Teren and Riley missing. What a great tribute to her and very full family tree she leaves with many memories.

The luncheon after and family time back at Grama & Papa's had many more reminiscences of her long and full life. We were all very lucky to have you as our GG! More food was had before we loaded the troops back up along with Candace, stopping quickly at her house for a load of bison. Tims and fuel and it was time to hit the road west.

We were back to Strathmore at 7:30 where the girls took the bison on to the city for a fellow to pick up and we went to the ranch. Matt was just ahead of us in our yard for his World Series date with Sheldon who had been listening to it via the radio on way home. They headed quickly to the TV room while Britt packed up and was headed to Olds. Me, well I got to enjoy relaxing finally catching up on 4 episodes of This Is Us on the PVR until 11:30 when the boys finally closed down celebrating the Cubs 108 years since last win win.

Nov 1 already

Another month arrives and I wonder, where is the time going? Today we are off to Medicine Hat for a prayer service for GG tonight and her funeral tomorrow. Coffee in bed and a relaxed start which soon changed. I was organizing the last of my finished pieces, buffed and glass cleaned and put together to stage and post. Tidy up products etc seeing we will be away for a bit and of course packing up.

I had just gotten out of the shower and getting dressed when Amanda called. Poor girl was having terrible gallbladder attack like pains and needed help so I finished getting ready quick, Sheldon threw stuff in his bag (Yep he was not ready to go but rather chillaxing his morning away) and we were off to town about 1230.

I made the kids KD while AJ headed to the ER, Sheldon ran errands. The kids and I had lots of laughs joined by Shaina and Kaylin just before 2. Kaylin ran to get food quick and it was about 2:30 when Sheldon and Britt got back along with Craig and after a quick visit we all loaded up, hit Tim's and were on the road by 3. Manda finally got seen and released with no real diagnosis but it had not acted up since we got there nor during her long wait ;(.

We arrived in the hat at 5, Grama had a spread of food ready for us along with Jerry and Barb. We were off to prayers around 6:30. It was a lovely vigil, a great gathering to celebrate and remember such a great GG. The get together continued at Auntie Colleen's till about 10 then back to grama and Papa's.
