busy start to December for first w/e

Friday we though we would run to the city and buy a gun so I had booked a naturopath appointment to round out my yearly limit and make use of going in. We left before noon and good thing as directions to the jewelry store to dip my rings was askew but eventually we found it and left them there along with my earrings to get silverized again. Lunch was enjoyed at a sushi place next to Dr Ahlan's before my double shot appointment.

We next hustled thru South Center mall to use a Lululemon gift certificate the girls gave Sheldon and checked a few more stores out while there. Time to pick up my sparklers next. ooooo pretty!

I ran into Costco to do a quick return then dropped Sheldon at the gun store.. sadly his FAC expired so he could only look! I went thru the maze at IKEA and eventually found the bed frame I wanted but it is too long for the Benz so will have to get with the truck sometime. Our next stop was at our reservation at Open Range. Glen and Roxy were to meet us but they got busy with house renos so we enjoy another AMAZING meal, drinks and dessert, highly recommend this place.

We were stuffed when we left but as we passed Home Sense we stopped to stretch the full tummies. I did find a few things and deciding it was now 8:30 we should find something to pass time till Hunger Games : Mocking Jay Part 2 started at 10 in the theater. The mall was next finding new shoes for Sheldon and a gift I can check off my to get list. This left an hour and the Flames game was playing so East Side Marios was the next stop to have a beverage and catch the last period which actually tied in last 1.2 seconds going into a win in over time.

The movie was really good and by 12:30 we were on the road swinging thru town to pickup Britt from the Station for a "cab" ride home, whew what a day it turned out to be, all by the seat of our pants expect 2 reservations ;)

El Ninio

Whew.. slept in, Sheldon was up just in time for his 11 am acupuncture appointment. I worked on the kids table and chair set sanding down the top, conditioning and staining it then scrubbing up the chairs, trying to remove red felt finally priming over ;( and doing a chair repair.

Albeit it was a late start to the day, it was plus 5 with chinook winds still blowing hitting a high of 8. Seems El Nino may be true, the snow remains only where really drifted

Sheldon was to work on the stalls in the late afternoon while I finally uploaded some Cuba photos on FB. I also did the accounting and the Christmas letter now to do the photo page. Both are great memories and a way to review the year if only just for me.

Progress today involved the stall panels arriving and moved into place with Shaina's help. She was her to join us for lunch and pick up a few things and catch up after our trip.

I spent the morning moving all the furniture out of the great room, cleaning thoroughly and reassembling. I took a few staged pics of the rocking chair to post.

Sheldon brought the Xmas tree over via skid steer and I put it in yet another new spot and on a new stand. I love rooms reorganized, they feel like a new space every time.

Sheldon worked on the stall setup while I continued the main floor deep clean and tree setup before enjoying a yummy taco supper and relaxing.

back to work Dec 1

Lola was in a panic at 5:30 am and after grumbling to go hush her, Sheldon saw 2 coyotes right at the island. He quickly grabbed the shot gun and let 2 blasts fly. The howling continued and I could see them with the flashlight just in the field so he got dressed and headed out on foot with the rifle to try and sneak up on them but no luck. It was time then to get a bit more sleep.

It was back to work for me today and it felt good. I got an order last night to recreate a sign for a gift needing to be mailed to PEI for Xmas. Of course I was up for the challenge so got on it and made today for the gal who picked it up after supper.

I hand painted a flower on the little pink rocking chair and added 3 more coats of poly. (pics tomorrow)

And Sheldon helped me carry in the coffee and end table to snap a few pics then set up in the TV room. However it was not long before there was interest to buy it, I guess for the right price I will sell it and find another right? ;)

I helped Sheldon tack up large plywood sheets in the shop then he finished the nailing up, stall panels arrive tomorrow.
