vitamix replaced finally

The night required another garage sleep for Lola around 1, perhaps Sheldon needs to try his firefox coyote call and eliminate the cause of her fussing. Shaina was off for Hawaii on a plane early this am, have a great trip little miss.

After coffee and jetta car search for Sheldon he went out to weed eat then mow. Now the ground actually got wet it was nice to mow without dust he said (only his 2nd time anyway) I sanded the coffee table then painted another coat on the green entry table, sanded and reassembled it once dry after lunch.

Sheldon did some work in the shop after lunch on the dump trailer as I continued my furniture. I tried staining the top of the coffee table, epic fail! Wait to dry, repaint and sand more while waiting.

The morning was sunny then got breezy and after lunch the wind continued and became grey. Will it rain again? I hope so! Sheldon picked up the Vitamix from courier yesterday, yes I sent it away Mar 26 and it arrived back June 2 after they quoted 5-8 business days repair. As a compensation they finally just sent a new one and an upgrade at that to the Professional 750. Ok I will take it.

Time to stage and post the entry table, odd to do a bigger piece in green and not blue or vintage white.

Time to chop up rhubarb I got from Goslings and with it I made 2 pies and a pan of bars. Sheldon came in as I was putting last in oven. He cooked a steak for us to share while I made the go withs. Kaylin stopped quick to drop off a table a friend of hers wants reloved. It is a cute giant cupcake holder ;)

Once the yummy supper settled we took the dogs & cats for a walk. The weather still seem threatening with occasional lightening but still nothing more than a few drops all day. On our way inside Sheldon spotted on the the shubert trees loaded with caterpillars.. GRRRRR out came the torch and a hot demise for them, all hopefully.

Wednesday started with coffee in bed and a tour of Sunshine's plant via their new drone. (click on June 2015 one to watch)

Today is little miss Shaina's 21st birthday. Happy Birthday my lovely. I am so proud of the lovely lady you have become! XOXO

I started painting the entry table I had scrubbed up and then sprayed the coffee table again, this time including the top as my plan like most of the projects changed part way thru.

Sheldon caught up on mail and internet but then loaded trash and cardboard and was off to town for errands and a massage just before lunch. I finished up my painting and came in after 1, it wasn't long a a big dump of rain came down, yahooo!!!

and then it seems I did not latch the door correctly when letting Coco out so she ventured in to say hi, this is a swipe of her tail against the door, I did not capture the floor nor her need to submissive pee when I caught her inside ;)

I staged Shaina's birthday present quick, this was the project I did the other morning I could not show. It is a perfect holder for nail polish, small lotions, essential oils etc and can stand or be hung

Jamie and Olivia stopped to pick out vanity colors and have a visit. Sheldon arrived home with teas, thanks followed by Britt. Just after Jamie headed home Amanda and the kids arrived for Shaina's birthday supper. Shaina and Kaylin were delayed due to traffic but soon arrived. A nice birthday celebration and visit. Gail stopped out just after 7:30 joining the girls heading back to the city for a concert and Amanda hauled the kids home.

Switch found the gate open and only pushed it far enough to eat some grass, she has yet to learn the escape plan from the others with an open gate

Time to clean up, thanks to Sheldon for washing pots & pans while Britt did her laundry and I kept you all up to date. He was then down to big TV to finish his hockey he was watching while washing.

I had a few lost emails or so I thought and had errors happening, when I contacted efirehose they claimed all is working fine but after mom sent a confirmation of one sent but never arrived I got on web mail ... 129 just from kuhnklan were sitting there since may 12, many of them from interested buyers for the totes and Baby. WTH, if only there were competition to rural high speed. Any way I answered a few recent ones and sent the best email to be able to contact us at, please change so we dont miss anymore. Once I got thru that I went out sanded and sprayed the coffee table again and then did the dreaded job of cleaning up my sprayer after using oil based paint. Latex is hard enough, note to self.. READ CAN before pouring in!

Tuesday.. grey day, up early with a lady wanting more info on Baby but then says she has a budget of $1500 less, oh my, not the way I want to get motivated for the day. Oh well, time to get B up and get on with my day. The blog got an update after I put a coat of top coat on the nightstand and one after that dried. The dogs made a fuss and upon looking out saw a coyote right in the field, Lola ran half way out and Diego hunkered down on the deck. When I finally grabbed camera, changed the lens, put in a new card and snapped a few pictures, Lola saw me and ran back. Great guard dogs, geez!

I scrubbed up another project and started spray painting on the coffee table. I could not figure why it did not wash off well, OMG this can is oil based dang it! Anyway I finished first coat and will let dry and see what happens.

Once the nightstand dried I screwed on new cast iron pulls and brought in for staging and posting.

As I did this around 1:30 a brief rain rolled thru YAY!!!! seems we need a repair at this junction, must capture every drop!

But just after Britt got home from early spare Tuesday around 2:30 a big dump came down in short order. We got things together and were off within the hour stopping in town to get gas then on to Calgary. It rained off and on on the way and rest of the day. She dropped me at Costco to load up on supplies while she ran to the mall to do some shopping. 45 minutes later she was back, we loaded up and were off to meet Sheldon at a VW dealer to check out a car Britt found. Our 2 hour stop ended with a sad girl after finding the hidden costs they add make the final price out of her budget. We then tried another multi car dealer but the rain hampered wandering around.

Time to grab some supper as now 7:30. Vietnamese was the choice then time to go home with mopey B riding with me. Once I got stuff unloaded I continued laundry I had been doing for last couple days. I emptied the lint trap and saw half a pop can ring, cripes, but as I lifted it and the lint I saw another shiny piece. Luckily it resisted pick up and when I tried to grab again I saw it was my DIAMOND earring, OMG. How did that happen and not get flushed down the 100's of washing holes? One of my angels were helping me out today. THANK YOU!!

Sheldon followed in the old boat, he fed the dogs read his mail and was soon asleep, and he wanted to go see Mad Max movie. He would have been snoring thru it! Britt hit the internet only to be further discouraged, don't worry Britt, your car will find you, like I found my earring after 3 months.

Had to put Lola inside by 2:30, coyotes were causing allot of barking, then I let her out before 8. Britt was off to school and I crawled back into bed finally getting back up around 9:30 and forcing Shaina out by 10. She was to make a ride video of Baby for interested parties but after cooking her breakfast and getting out there she only had time to ride her for a warm up. I did get a wee video of ground work before she had to put her away and head to town for chiro and acupuncture.

I spent a bit of time uploading my contest entry to a fabulous furniture flip, lets see how it goes. You can see mine at the bottom as well as others entered on this blog.

Britt and the boys arrived just before she left to spend one of the few last Monday spare mornings. We played some pool and had pizza. Shaina joined us too before they were off back to school. It was not long and Shannon stopped to pick her up and they were off to work at the golf course.

I did some work on the night stand, watered a few more trees and walked the dogs in yet another lovely sunshiny day. Getting a simple appetizer and drinks ready was next in order and when Britt got home from school we hurried to catch horses and hook up the trailer. The hidden ball hitch is a PAIN IN THE @$$ so this took much longer than I wanted leaving Hawk's front trim no time ;(

After the harried hook up, we laoded them and were off to our last lesson night. Tonight both groups did a full working equitation night. This includes a trail course done first as accuracy then as speed and rounded up with a dressage test. It was a ton off fun and showed how far we came from just 6 weeks ago.

A gal met us there to buy some of Shaina's lulu stuff. Once the horses were untacked and happily eating their hay we were off to Jac's lovely home for a windup pot luck. It was fun to have social time with the group and I was shocked to receive the honor of most improved, awe thanks Jill & Jacquie! Both Britt and I highly recommend Jill's lessons, she is a fabulous teacher and just was featured in this magazine we need to track down.
