Medicine Hat bound

The Bluetooth speaker started beeping then the magpies after 5 am, boo. I disconnected it and we shut bedroom windows and back to sleep till after 7 when I started my mental list of things to take to the Hat and things to do before we go. I fed H early at 8, made the horse food and packed H supper in a cooler to take along. S got the coffee going then on the phone with a new holland dealer in the Hat. The service guy was super helpful and has offered a part to borrow if her brings his monitor in. he grabbed it and loaded in truck. I hauled Kaylin’s coffee table that was in the cargo trailer we brought back as it needs a redo. blankets were taken out and Harley loaded up. Spitz and a kombucha each were packed and we were on the road before 9 am.

A quick stop in Brooks to grab an iced coffee and S a fritter lol. We arrived in the Hat around 11:30 filling with fuel in Redcliff. A delicious lasagna lunch at Ma & Pa's and the start of a visiting day. S and Pa ran to the dealer and got a borrowed baler monitor. We also started loading the furniture items they had to send our way before heading to Auntie Colleen's after 2 to load a couple antique dressers they sourced me.

Grama has a new pet groomer that attaches to a vacuum we tried and it was not as scary as it first looked and was fun to try.

The water features looked refreshing as the day started to heat up

Kaylin has some new patio pieces for her back yard

And Shaina's sewing machine (Grandma Stolz's) made it up the hill and in the trailer too

We had a really nice visit there with Ma & Pa stopping by after their appointment. Before we left we both tried their fancy e-bikes. Back at the townhouse to load the last items then enjoy a cold drink and hot pizza. Auntie Candace joined us as well. We loaded up Harley and set off west around 8:30 stopping again in Brooks for a chai tea this time.

locked and loaded

We were back at the ranch after 10:30. I ran and fed the cats while S tested the monitor and found that is definitely the issue. There was just a few spits of raining coming down but short lived. The house was overheating at almost 29 inside having left the A/c off for the day; time to open the windows and cool the place down.
