Double nickle Birthday boy

Today it is the birthday boy's double nickel day!! XOXO we started with the traditional coffee in bed then I made him a delicious honey yogurt and fresh fruit bowl to get him going for the day. He was off to the rodeo meeting starting at 10 and back home by 11. He was excited to get his new headphones as his gift.

We were loaded up and headed back to town after 12 dropping trash on the way to the rodeo. It was a scorching day at 31 with a wind (which totally destroyed my shade umbrella). The rodeo was good and fairly fast for a less busy Friday. We then brought the truck into the infield to figure out the new post/panel system for tomorrow and S gave the scissor lift a test run.

It was then off to the trackside bar to relax for a bit. Candace joined us there around 5 after having a visit with the girls in the city at her appointment. We grabbed a beef on a bun and got our seats to watch the musical ride followed by trick riders, mutton busters and the chucks. There were a few horse incidents with the 2nd heat having an outrider horse trailered out ;(

Once all was done we jetted for home to enjoy a cold beer; birthday boy cooked up hot dogs for he and Candace while I stuck with Miss Vicky's. We visited until 11 when I headed to bed with my headache, they caught the fireworks then off to bed too. Pretty good birthday for S!
