another hot windy smoky day! and a truck show

Shaina was off for 8:30 shift again. Coffee and social media started our day. It was fairly sunny and picking up heat and wind but I headed out to work on the benches to finish them up. I put a 2nd coat on the white/green one then got 2 coats on the blue/green.

Sheldon wanted to take int he antique truck show in town so I suggested Britt who has the day off and loves old vehicles. They and Lexi headed off around noon as I started the 2nd coat of poly.

they washed it

 then signed up

being so hot Lexi needed a few refreshments too

While it dried I did the black wax on the now dry one then the blue, snapped a few pics to send to the buyer and hauled one in. Shaina was home before 1 "sick" and off to bed. The wind picked up allot filling the garage with dust so doors needed to be closed up. The smoke filled the sky for most of the day now but was hot again at 29! Time to do some blog work; I finished up the metal table post and got it loaded on a few sites. Finished last 2 days of this blog and posted.

The truck show gang was back home before 3. B headed to her room of course and Sheldon set off to change the oil in the fireball. Shaina was off to the city to see mores places around 4 when Prince was coming in. I snapped some staging shots of the recent projects

A quick barbeque supper, Britt tried to sleep through it ;) Sheldon an for a load of water before were off to work with Roo. Today she was bit a bit saucy to start and Jacquie had just arrived so stepped in to show how she works with them. Once caught we were off to the arena and the wet harrowed arena posed a new obstacle for her. Again jac stepped in and had an intense lesson which eventually got her in but with allot of drama. A lariat butt loop was another lesson she shared which worked much better then the standoff. Britt and I worked with her in the arena with success with loose lariat leading and more foot work. On a successful note we put her and Idol back in their paddock.

Sheldon offered to treat us to a pumpkin spice latte which we enjoyed on the drive home arriving around 9:30. Sheldon hit the TV room for football while I wrote up a blog post for the benches. Max came out to watch Netflix's later, I could not find Lexi and after searching outside, in vehicles, the basement, the garage and all these many times over, after half hour she was found.. in our tub!! Of course why did I not remember her go to spot!
