There was no wind upon waking—or for the entire day—which felt absolutely fabulous. Even though it wasn’t overly warm, it felt warmer without the constant gusts.
Sheldon made and delivered our morning coffees to bed, and we caught up on our favorite social media updates before I made a second cup and got back to the endless photo sorting that’s been consuming my days. Sheldon moved to Big Brown to browse his laptop and continue compiling his list of potential bison buyers ahead of their planned harvest in the first week of December.
Later in the morning, he pitched hay and drove Shaina’s Jeep back to the approach to park it with a For Sale sign, then returned to research brakes for his truck and a few other things. I edited the last few days’ blog posts and did a bit of marketing—still no bites on any of the items I have listed for sale.
I pulled some frozen turkey from the freezer and tossed it in the slow cooker with gravy, determined to start cleaning out the deep freeze.
After lunch, S took off for town for hockey, and I kept working at the computer. Microsoft called again, but they weren’t much help. While my larger files downloaded—and my Mac updated to the new iOS—I took Harley and Stella for a walk under slightly overcast skies +7. On our way back, we met Mr. Jenkins heading down the lane.
S returned home before 5 with Cooper in tow. I prepped veggies to go with the turkey, and while they cooked, S ran to the gate where he met someone for a test drive of the Jeep—the first one yet! Fingers crossed it leads somewhere.
Sadly, even after six hours in the slow cooker, the turkey was still dry and tough as nails. B stopped by after work and had some too, but we all agreed it’s destined to become soup to hopefully salvage it.
B fed the horses and discovered that Roo had a cut eyelid, which she cleaned and doctored before heading home with Cooper. S finished the evening with a hot tub soak, while I opted for a shower.
We tried to finish the Expos documentary, but S made it about ten minutes before dozing off. I switched to Selling Sunset for a bit before calling it a night.
