The fog lingered through the night and into the morning, coating every branch in sparkling hoar frost. Just after we got up and I was making coffee around 8:00, snow began to lightly fall, continuing most of the morning and turning the world outside into a pretty — though chilly — winter wonderland.
In the city, little Renny woke up before 10:30 after sleeping more than 14 hours. She was still running a slight fever but feeling better — hopefully that long rest helps her get back to normal. Kaylin told her it had snowed. She replied "I have an idea, let's go for a walk in the snow!" By the time they did the snow had melted in the city.
After lunch, Sheldon ran to town to have the tires rotated and do a few errands. Brittany asked me to go out and take Roo's boots off. I brought Harley along, gave her a treat, and hustled back inside to watch more Trading Up cozy on the bed as the snow continued to fall.
I took a short break to work on yesterday’s blog post, do a bit of marketing and photo editing, then went back to my show. Sheldon came home around 2:00 in a shop car since the truck was just being worked on now, not at the 12:30 appointment. He was tired of waiting and decided to come home for a nap while they did the tire rotation.
By 3:00, the truck was ready, so he headed back to town, picked up Cooper and the mail on the way home, and got ready to head out hunting in his white camo, hoping to spot that elusive buck. I was now making pizzelles in the golden-hour sunshine.
While baking, I got an inquiry about the dresser — which turned into pickup plans for tomorrow morning, all the way from Fort Macleod. As dusk settled, Sheldon hopped back into the ranger looping around on his drive home, so I got supper going — goulash, at his request. He came back with a story of spotting a big buck but no luck. We enjoyed our supper with pizzelles for dessert.
Just as we finished up, Amanda texted that they were passing by after Asher’s volleyball in Vulcan and would stop for a drink. Sheldon started the fireplace, and we had a lovely evening of visiting. Brittany was out to eat and joined us for the visit and to feed her horses. AJ and C left after 9:00 to pick up Asher at the school, S helped me move the dresser upstairs for tomorrow’s pickup and B stayed chatting until 10:00 before heading home.
We finally crawled into bed to finish the Expos movie — but once again, both of us were too tired to see the end!

Two sleeping beauties. I hope Renn improves quickly.
