The weather was cloudy and a cool 18 degrees when Cooper was dropped off and Harley was let out at 7:30. As the day went on, it gradually warmed up. S had coffee and a large bowl of porridge and even finished off the yogurt after I had mine. Once ready, we left for the lawyer's office after 9. Hoping to be seen early, we arrived 15 min before our 9:30 appointment, but as is typical with doctor/lawyer schedules, we weren't seen until 15 minutes past our scheduled time. The signing was quick, taking less than 10 minutes, and soon we were on our way west to the city.
At K's place by 10:45, Renn and Nathan were catching up on sleep after a night disturbed by the heat. Kaylin arrived home at 11:30 for a break just as Renn awoke. Sheldon grilled smokies on the BBQ while K prepared KD for lunch.
After Kaylin returned to work at 1, we ascended to the "playground".
Nathan finished work and went for a shower at 3 PM. I settled Renn for her nap and we departed at 3:30 PM. S drove Shaina's Jeep while I made a stop at Costco. We packed our purchases into Sadie and headed home at 5 PM. Upon arrival, I let the dogs out and began unloading the groceries. Meanwhile, S took a detour through town to pick up parts for the weed eater before returning home.
Dave and Britt arrived at usual time, consuming their takeout before setting off to attend to their horse-related chores. Meanwhile, I set out to tend to the weeding and watering, as S detached his tractor and rearranged the equipment.
The townies went out at 9. We unwound in bed with an episode of McLeod's Daughters after the day's heat. At 2:30 am, a catfight jolted me awake. Disoriented, I rushed outside only to see a black and white cat lingering after the others had scattered. It must belong to a neighbor; it seemed young and tame.
