Canasta night & some sideways rain

Sweet little R

The ruler had clear coat on both sides applied. We were off to town. S dropped me off at Dad's then he was off to work at rodeo grounds. He is installing a rack for all the volunteer shirts to hang. I took Dad out for a long walk. We sat at a playground in the sunshine. Dad was having a bad day today. Back at lunch he was not wanting to eat either. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for him. All he wants is to get out of there.

S picked me back up at 1:30. We grabbed Opa and headed home. At the gate it would not open. We walked to the house. S ran back with ranger after eating to troubleshoot. Looks like the mice are at it again. He got it fixed thankfully.

The ruler had a second clear coat on the front. It is now complete. The skies started to darken and thunder rolled. I prepped supper. Wayne and Bobbi Jo stopped to drop off S's power engineer books. They visited until the skies opened and the rain started. The rain came down sideways for a bit. S checked when it let up and found 2.5/10ths.

Dowlers arrived at 5. We had a great visit. Bison roast supper was delicious. Our evening canasta game had the girls winning :) They headed home at midnight.
