palm sander paper just gummed up so finish had to be removed
I had a gal interested in the blue dresser that just sold so came in to answer more questions and send pics of other dressers I have. The behind the scenes takes so much time but hopefully it will get new customers. I chowed down a sandwich before heading back to the garage.
Not wanting the bare wood top to soak up all the black pigments and lose the grain I applied the first coat of stain oil finish in my favorite cappuccino color. Now this has to dry stopping all paint progress on the dresser till tomorrow.
I saw Notre Dame was on fire, how sad. Here are some great photos B took when she was in Paris.
Next up is another tall antique dresser. First step was a deep scrub of the entire thing. When dry I stripped the drawer fronts and top.
I headed out before 6 to catch the steeds needing to go to Murray. Some for a recheck some for a yearly check. I caught KD, Bird and naughty little Roo who wanted to be the anchor. I tied them at the hitching post and went back for Switch. I loaded them all up but Roo who refused and as I was opening the windows for the rest and letting her eat a bit of grass till Britt arrived she took off running to the gate.
I text Britt who was just pulling up, she parked at gate and walked in meeting me parked along side the little miss. We loaded her up and headed off to the chiro. We were a bit early for our 7 pm with a 8 horse trailer pulling in behind us. He actually only had 4 horses on so we let him go ahead of us and Dave and his 4 pulled in soon after. We watched the 4 ahead of us then our 4 then Dave's 4 not leaving Murray's till after 9. B and I quickly unloaded, gave supplements and she was on her way home and me off to shower. I was watching paint tutorials when the prince arrived at his usual 11 pm.
