first polox tournament of the year

Lexi was excited to be at the ranch, wanting out in the night, bouncing up and down off the bed awake at 6 trying to get Coco riled up but once I shut my door on her she decided she best have a nap and even stayed out when Sheldon got up at 7:30 to head into UFA for a few supplies.

I made coffee and packed beverages up for the day while Britt made a sandwich for her and Prince. S was back by 8:30 and unloaded his stuff while we loaded ours. We all caught a horse (Pepper, Switch and Bird) and loaded them up and on the road before 9 - a little behind our schedule. It did not take long to tack up Pepper and Switch to ump and shadow the 10 am games while Sheldon held Bird not finding our pen to put them in.

 fancy new saddle pads ;)

Rocky Mountain A team did not play till 1:30 but we watched the games between and had some visiting fit in.

Unfortunately the girls did not win either games so will play at 10 am in the morning only. Once Bird was cooled down from her last game we loaded up and started for home around 5 making a stop for our traditional sushi from Sobey's for the ride home.

Back at the ranch before 6:30 we unloaded. Now the weather was perfect.. sunny no wind and beautiful. Britt showered up and was off to Standard for a ball cab while I was putting a coat of poly on the chairs and Sheldon was patrolling for gophers.
