1st Polox jackpot of the year

The morning started out overcast and dreary. As I was hauling KD again for Shelby, she was texting it was raining in Cochrane, after much debate with rest going and the field we decided to go. Britt made it home from the big ball we in time to change clothes, cook some eggs for our brunch and it was time to catch horses. I used oats and had my two in minutes. Yep today is Hawks first jackpot. A customer dropped her chosen paint color off just as we were pulling out, seems I have a few custom things to get done in next little while. Right on!

The weather went from wee sun to cloudy dreary as we passed recently rained on roads but when we arrived at the Okotoks field the sun was shining in full force. The jackpot went well, there was a time frame of crappy weather rolled thru but it did pass. There were so many people each person only got two chukkas. Pretty far to go for 16 min of play says Britt but I said she could be a barrel racer 😉

We were loaded up and heading home at 3:30 when I noticed we came 80 Kim's and the truck said gas left for 70. The silly GPS took us on a shitty tour but eventually we secured diesel and more sushi much to Britt's happiness. She of course fell asleep after chewing down having an action packed we.  Back at home it looked as a bit of rain fell but not allot. The sun was out, ponies put back in the pens and time to study for B who has first diploma exam tomorrow. Of course this was after we got showered up. I went to the garage to put last coat of poly on.
I also got the stool reupholstered too
