785 - Sheldon home after first week out

Day 785, again an early day. The day started drizzly and overnight we had 8/10ths. I awoke early but seeing the rain I curled back up for a bit longer. Finally I got up and showered for work. I also ordered more rock for the mason before I left. The younger people all enjoyed a sleep in day.

Shaina dropped Sam, Adam and Britt off with me at work at 12:30 on her way to work at the golf course for the oilmen's tournament. I dropped the fellows off at the Sunridge station, they were going to surprise to friends who live in Calgary for ones birthday. Britt and I continued to Cross Iron where we got Costco goodies including new blue berry plants and a couple things at the mall.

Next stop was to pick up Sheldon who came in early arriving at 3pm. The week went fast for all of us. We made a quick stop at NE Costco grabbing more shrubs and a few more goodies before heading home. Poor Sheldon was feeling sluggish after his travel day so had a nap after unloading our goodies.
this little bear crossed the road in front of the work van between site and camp

Today Kaylin and Aaron flew to Las Vegas for the Electric Daisy carnival for 2nd year in a row. Calgary is in state of emergency as well as High River and other river towns. Their apartment being on the 9th floor is safe. Have fun and stay safe.

Supper was a smorgasbord of left overs, in fitting to camp suppers :-) After supper Britt studied for her final exam tomorrow, Sheldon walked his buddy Diego (who was very happy to see him) and I updated the blog.

At 8:30 Shannon text to bring horses up here as they are getting the flooding down at the river. Sheldon went and got the water tub and filled it for the skinny pen while Britt and I put the bug rugs on the skinnies, even giving Julio one this time. Shannon and her mom Carol brought their two horses Jake and Katie up about 9:15 returning to keep an eye on the river soon after.
