S made coffees to start the day, and after a second one and a bagel he was off to the city for some shopping. I moved into my morning marketing routine with my own second cup after pet care. Shaina finally surfaced around 10, still sluggish, so I made her a latte and she grabbed a bagel as well. I had already checked in with B earlier to confirm Cooper had been dropped off for his dental surgery. All was good.
When Shaina finished, we headed to Sharon’s for the girls to meet Shelby’s twins and Krista’s little Della. Stan and Mabel were there as well, along with Thea, Krista’s oldest. We had a lovely visit with plenty of entertainment from the babies, Thea, and Della—who had to be woken just before we left after 2.
We swung by Opa afterward and I grabbed lunch for us, which we ate at Britt’s. Shaina and I then continued home where S was relaxing on the couch.
A foggy mist rolled in after 4:30 as Shaina and I visited at the island and S napped. She left to take a phone call shortly before 5. B arrived around 5:30 with post-surgery Cooper—still a bit loopy but doing well. After feeding him, she joined us for taco supper.
We wrapped up the evening with a spirited game of canasta that lasted until 10. During the game, someone arrived through the dense fog to pick up a free dresser mirror. Once cards were done, B packed up Cooper and headed home. Shaina went back to work, S switched to watching sports, and I finished publishing yesterday’s blog and worked on today’s entry.
S and I eventually headed to bed to watch an episode of Abandons while Shaina went to her room to finish Owning Manhattan.

I fun filled day of babies, dogs, friends and visiting.
