City Errands, Photos Uploaded & A Whole Lot of Driving

Another regular day on the ranch, kicking off with me publishing the table-top tutorial while S loaded the finished pieces into the truck for delivery to Medicine Hat today with plans to carry on to bison butchering. Once posted, I shared it across all the sites and paint groups.

OMG - this is the funniest video of a clip of the other night Nathan brought renn downstairs to let Kaylin sleep. Watch it all the way to the end as it will make you giggle. And see just how tired Nathan was to sleep thru the cowgirl antics!

One needs coffee after a night like that!

On the weekend Shaina and Matt painted each others portraits :)

By noon it was –2°C, and we headed out in opposite directions — me to Calgary and S to Medicine Hat. As I rolled into the city, the temperature climbed above zero, which made for a pleasant drive… except for how much windshield washer fluid I went through. My poor car is going to need a serious bath.

First stop: the glass shop to get a new shower-door sweep cut. Then over to the mall to pick up gifts for my goddaughter and niece Mya — plus an iced coffee to keep me moving quickly.

At Winners, I restocked our coffee syrup, grabbed Himalayan salt, and treated our bathroom to new white bath sheets along with a few more gifts. I took a quick browse through HomeSense but turned right around — I do not need more “things” right now.

Next up: Costco, where I spent half an hour in line returning the two TVs and a couple other items, then almost two hours roaming the aisles. It got busy fast and that was my cue to escape.

Of course, it was full rush hour by then — ugh. I made a quick stop at Superstore hoping to find the seasonal Angie’s peppermint popcorn, but with no luck, I gave up and headed home, arriving around 6:30. After feeding Har, I unloaded the haul (always the hardest part of the trip) and finally sat down to enjoy rotisserie chicken with leftover pasta and veggies.

I finished and shared yesterday’s blog post, then dove into ordering family photos — so behind on those, especially with Christmas cards looming. B and Cooper popped out for a quick feed and short visit before heading home.

By 9 I wrapped up my computer work and climbed into bed to watch Champagne Problems, which was super cute. Now I want to see Paris at Christmastime!

Meanwhile, S delivered the tables safely to Mom and Dad K and spent the day visiting them and Candace. The planned bison butchering was cancelled due to butcher having truck troubles, so instead of heading to Oyen, he started home after 9. At least he got a family visit in — and the tables returned.

He rolled in around midnight just as I drifted off, and not long after he was asleep too.
