Holy brrr — a frosty -17°C but feels like -23 wake-up this morning! We eased into the day with a couple coffees in bed, scrolling Instagram and Snapchat. Shaina shared that poor Matt tore his Achilles playing pickleball (ouch!), and Renn was happily devouring Santa pancakes… well, mostly the whipped cream.
It was laundry day and computer catch-up for me, while S worked on catching up on the blog from big brown. After chili for lunch, he headed out to shovel the sidewalks and decks. I stuck with a cozy bowl of soup and he grabbed one too once he was back inside. We enjoyed slices of poppyseed cake before he sliced up one of the livers to try later for supper.
With a fire glowing in the fireplace, we played a few rounds of Tantrix — one win each, and I claimed the rubber match. B and Cooper came out for a quick feed and zipped home again. Laundry rotated all day, and I finished and published the wedding photo booth blog post.
S’s friend Patrick stopped by before 5 to pick up his fresh liver. We had tea and a nice visit before he headed out just after 6. Then it was our turn to cook liver and onions for supper — tasty, healthy supper for a chilly winter night. The Flames game played on the big bedroom TV; we really do miss having a kitchen TV.
seems she is bilingual :)
Once the dishes were done and the dishwasher humming, I worked on updating a few tutorials after discovering another one of mine shared on Dixie Belle’s website (always fun to see!). After the Flames won, S made our first rum and eggnog of the season (actually 2 in total), and we settled in to watch a bit more Ripple before calling it a night.

Matt will have to slow down for the holidays. I'm ahead of you by about five eggnog and rum!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA, and I thought you gave up rum years ago :)
