Yard is "summer"ized

Harley slept thru the night!! Just like a baby this s exciting. I was awake though after 7 so after todays Flow games went out to kitchen to make coffee. Dave dropped cooper off fore 8 then off to the races. I threw in laundry then went to plant peas, carrots, radishes and spinach in the one raised bed. The soaked sweet peas in the middle one. S was up to have his coffee and breakfast. We loaded the dogs up and headed to Langdon. We grabbed a tea and donut as we passed thru. 6 straw baled were loaded south of town with us looping around to the ranch grabbing the mail as we passed.

For the next 2 hours we raked and spread and hammered and created our garden. S tried to set up a water sprinkler but it seems we have none appropriate. On the shopping list it is. S BBQ’d hotdogs for lunch with a side of chips and dip and a cold beer.

look at what we made!

S hooked up the little trailer and we moved all the deck furniture down from the mez onto it. It was set up on the deck with the new rug. Well most of it some needed a hosing so S hooked up the pump under the deck. I fed Bird and Roo for Brittany. With the hose hooked up, I watered my planted seeds too.

We loaded the rototiller and took to Matt’s. He was home and showed us the new chicken set up and collected 4 dozen eggs while we watched. We took home 3 dozen, thanks! Back at the ranch we parked the utility trailer. S drove truck into the arena to hook up the travel trailer.

I moved gravel from the deck stairs past the hot tub to garden Then all the summer decor was moved out of the garden shed. I was moving the last of it as Ma and Pa pulled into the yard after 4. We helped Sheldon back out of the shop and park.

snug fit .. good driver :)

He plugged it in to power as I grabbed them a cold beer. We all met on the deck to enjoy the gorgeous day. It was 15 out and mostly sun. However when the clouds covered the sun it got a bit chilly so we headed inside. Shaina arrived to join the visiting. At 7 they headed to town to meet Brittany for their “Christmas gift” with Grama and Papa. I threw short ribs in the instant pot then we headed out for a hot tub. Cabbage was chopped and cooked to go along with the leftover mashed potatoes having us eating late.

Not long after we were done eating, the Christmas crew arrived for dessert. Grama made cheesecake with sour cherry sauce and double fudge chocolate cake that all enjoyed. After a lovely visit, the girls and Dave headed off. But first we had a small search party for Lexi. I found her scarfing down poop in the paddock of course! I said she needs a bell on at the ranch :) I read for awhile before lights out.
