Saturday was another rainy drizzly day and awake at 8 ;( It was a lazy start though with coffee and candy crush but after feeding the dogs I ran out in the rain in my housecoat to turn valve off shop tank I was draining :) Julio saw me and raced whining for food shivering in the cool 7 degrees. I checked the rain gauge by the shop tank, 7 cm!! eek seems it had not been dumped but the house one said 1 1/2 cm since last checked. Diego who spent the night in the garage ate and wanted back in in no time too.
College girl B had a slow start but late afternoon we loaded up the canoe, I mean jetta and ran to town to meet her generous boss who bequeathed her a mini fridge, Thanks Vicki and Bill, it sure will come in handy. We hauled it in back at the ranch after grabbing a hot tea and she scrubbed it up ready for use.
B helped me carry in the dresser for staging and posting, what do you think? She spent the day doing homework ;)
The rain continued all day trapping us inside, no conditioning for miss Birdy ;( Britt did go out to see them and put a blanket on Julio earlier in the day. Rainy days make for great roast chicken dinners and so it became, even new potatoes from the garden. Another note to self, do not take good plate out loaded with gravy and drippings to add to dog food with one said nosy tall dog! Yep the plate smashed into 1000 pieces in a pile of sticky gravy! That hose and floor drain is such a God send in so many applications but here is yet another! It also required one said maid to hit the showers to remove gravy from legs and feet!
Netflix night for us both as she continued her homework. Today would have been Grandpa Ball's 95th birthday Happy Cake Day in Heaven!! XOXO
