Matt started brewing coffee before 8 a.m., then returned to his job which began at 6:30 a.m. I took a cup and proceeded to sell my walnut coffee table online. Additionally, I ordered beef for Harley since she doesn't seem to like the salmon. S got up for coffee, soon followed by Chuck and Deb. The morning was filled with visiting with Mom stopping in just after 11. She left for home before noon. Debby and Chuck went into town, while S checked the gauge and found it half of a tenth of rain.
For lunch, I prepared chili since everyone was coming and going. We also had a large Costco veggie tray that was overlooked yesterday, along with grilled cheese buns. Shaina joined us for a meal during her work break before 1 PM. Although the winds intensified from the morning, we were grateful for the sunshine. Deb and Chuck enjoyed their meal upon returning, and Matt had his after completing work after 2 PM.
The four of us began playing Russian rummy. Shaina and Matt completed sorting, storing, and packing their belongings, then loaded up the Jeep. They set off for the city before 4 PM to have dinner with friends, followed by drinks, and then spent the evening with Kaylin, Nathan, and Renn. Once we finished rummy, we learned a new game called Spite and Malice, which was enjoyable. After a substantial lunch, we simply snacked throughout the afternoon. Britt went out to feed and lunge Roo, then returned home without stopping in. We ended the night after some relaxing time in the living area, visiting until around 10 PM. S and I attempted to watch Netflix, but he fell asleep quickly, so I watched alone for a while before turning off the lights.
I am totally hooked on Russian Rummy now. However, we did take a break yesterday and we played Hand and Foot.
