HOT & DRY!

Friday was 30 by late afternoon. Shaina Britt and I went for a ride and practice before Shaina headed to work. Sheldon changed out the hot wire tape for smooth wire, I gave him a hand unhooking the wires from neighboring field that were looped over in many places. Britt decided to give Pepper a sheath cleaning but after decimating a water bean she called me to help. I managed toget the rest out along with 2 others, poor fellow. She then headed out to Annie Oakley some gophers before rushing to baseball.

Saturday morning had a late start on a 27 sunny day. Britt was out the door early taking in a ball game at 9 then working 10-3. The grass in paddocks is so dry and short I let all the horses out into the winter pasture. They were quite excited but spent allot of the day back in the sheds and pastures.  Eventually I had to lock them out of the one closest to the house. Shaina was off to work for 10 too, should be a great day to be on golf course beer cart.

 Sheldon sprayed some weed patches before installing a new post and 2 new metal gates after his swather destruction of previous wooden ones. It was smoking hot. Diego and I picked rocks until Kaylin arrived at 2:30. I made her some lunch before Britt arrived home from work . Kaylin did up her makeup for the big Keith Urban concert Britt and Brooke are going to tonight at stampede. Brooke got dropped off, they finished their posters and makeup and were off  to what ended up being "THE BEST NIGHT OF THEIR LIVES". It seems their row 8 floor tickets had them right up under Keith's feet scoring hand holding and guitar picks. Sheldon adn I headed to town for supper out, grabbed groceries and such, a blizzard , washed the car and cruised by the old house before heading home to watch SOA for the evening. Shaina headed to the city after work staying at Kaylin's till Monday.

Sunday was another scorcher coming in at 30 again. Britt was out the door again for a ball game at 9! We started with a SOA episode and coffee before  getting on with the day. I caught Hawk and redid his feet touching up Pepper's and Julio's as well. The afternoon was spent at the Gosling residence for the Sip and See which was nice. Britt arrived home just before we left but she chose to stay home and nap. Once back it was time to watch the stampede finals, eat oyster soup and then watch Sons of Anarchy finishing season 2 while Britt headed to town to have supper and visit Amber. And Shaina is at a Snoop Dogg concert with friends including Kaylin. Enjoy girls!
